I recently went to the Wedding Day Diamond store in Bloomington with plans on shopping for an engagement ring. I was greeted by a cheerful sales staff and noticed the store was clean and presentation was great. I was promptly offered a cup of coffee. I took the cup and prepared myself for an onslaught of trial-closes, attempted upselling, etc. What I found was quite the opposite. The woman who helped me took her time in asking me about the kind of ring I was interested in. She also asked insightful questions about my girlfriend, and educated me on what to look for in a diamond. She was knowledgeable on the warranties the company offered and was able to articulate why Wedding Day stood apart from the competition. Once I picked a ring and diamond, she made sure to have the ring finished in time for our vacation (where I was going to propose) and also said she would have an appraisal ready for me when I picked up the ring. This is where my great Wedding Day experience falls off. I went in to pick up my diamond and asked for the appraisal so I could set up insurance on the ring (the ring had been completed and back at the store in storage for several days by then). She had not completed it yet but assured me she would have it completed by end of day. She said she would forward it onto me or work with me in getting it to the insurance company. I went ahead and set up an account with the insurance company and waited for her follow up, which never came. After our vacation, I finally called Wedding Day and was told the appraisal was finished and would be faxed to the insurance company. It’s been about three days since then and I just followed up with the insurance company and they confirmed it has not yet been received. The lack of follow-up on the appraisal and just general no follow-up is honestly quite disappointing. At the very least, I would expect follow up on the appraisal as they know I’ve been looking for it. But as a sales person; why wouldn’t you take the opportunity to also see how the ring fits, how she likes it, make some small talk about the vacation? Not only would that give the salesperson an opportunity to build on the relationship, it would also be a way to start the conversation on coming in and looking at wedding bands. I’ve been told that a lot of their business comes from referrals, so I would think that one would want to make every client feel like their business is appreciated. After purchasing my ring and walking out of the store on day one, I felt like a true client of Wedding Day Diamonds ready to continue the relationship well into the future. Now, I feel like just a customer that walked in and was able to be closed on buying a ring.

Ive never bought jewelry before, at least in any serious capacity. All the research in the world didnt prepare me for the actual process of buying an engagement ring. Thankfully, Wedding Day Diamonds was the first store I went to. The Bloomington store looks small from the outside, but the huge selection of rings they have is overwhelming. I was fortunate enough to have Richard there to help me narrow down the selection. After having him color in countless rings with a marker so I could see what a sapphire looked like, I settled on a few I liked. In an attempt to be a savvy shopper, I then went to several other jewelry stores. The experiences at other stores just didnt match up to Wedding Day Diamonds. The sales people from other stores, while kind and helpful, seemed more interested in closing a sale than helping me find a ring I liked. After a few days of emailing back and forth with Richard and visiting the store to meet with him and Dane, I decided on a ring and picked a sapphire. Not only did they make the process of finding a ring enjoyable, they also expedited the whole process of getting the ring set to fit with my last-minute planning. Upon receiving the ring, mere days before I had planned on giving it to my now-fiance (thanks to the quick work of Wedding Day Diamonds), I noticed a weird blemish on the sapphire. I brought the ring in to the store to find that it was a natural blemish on the stone. They offered to have the ring reset to cover the blemish with a prong. I took them up on the offer, and they expedited that process as well! Getting the ring to me the day before I needed it, perfectly set, beautiful, and ready to go. I have never had a company offer to bend over backwards for me on a consistent basis, and then deliver every time. On top of all of that, they have an unmatched warranty on their rings and diamonds. It quelled a lot of my fears with making such a large purchase thats going to last a lifetime. Overall, the best shopping experience Ive ever had.

I went to Wedding Day recently to look for engagement rings for my soon to be fiancee (hopefully), and although they did have a good selection and a friendly staff for the most part, the staff is what eventually led me to not buy from there. Even though I told them several times that I was not buying on that exact day because my girlfriend was with me they sent her to Starbucks and pushed me over and over to put it on layaway or finance it (even though I told them I had the cash). I didnt put it on layaway or finance it because we wanted to keep looking, and they called me every three days and twice on Sundays asking me when I was going to come back to get it even after I told them several times that I was very busy with work and college for the next couple of weeks. Still they are persistently calling me and I finally just told them I found a different ring at Shane Co., which had better service and prices in my opinion and didnt bug me every three days.

My experience with Wedding Day Diamonds was too good to be true. From the moment I walked in through the door to when I picked up the ring, I never once felt like I was rushed to make a decision and they were very adamant about helping me find the right ring and the the right diamond. Mackenzie was nothing short of a rock star. Very helpful, kind and welcoming from start to finish. I visited about five other stores and each one I received a bad experience. I wasnt originally sold on the ring that I eventually ended up purchasing, it grew on me after seeing what else was out there. Im not going to lie, the first experience I had with WDD definitely helped too. It made me want to come back. The entire staff was very helpful during the entire process and made me feel like I was a valuable customer. I will definitely be back to buy the bands from them. Thanks again for making this such a wonderful experience!

My wife and I are repeat customers to this Penn ave Wedding day Diamond store because the excellent service and value we received for the staff , Dane and Mackenzie. They listened to what we wanted and showed us a good selection of quality and price and helped us settle on one we are really happy with. They really delivered as promised. They also have a diamond trade up program where they will buy back your diamond for the amount of what was paid. My wifes uncle wanted to buy a engagement ring for his fiancée and asked my wife where she bought hers and she told him WDD and it turns out that they don’t Have a WDD in Huston Tx so we went to see Mackenzie at Penn ave WDD and selected a nice band and Diamond and facetimed with a Ipad to Huston Tx for the uncles approval and Mackenzie conducted the deal over the ipad and expedited the build and shipped the ring early to the timeline. Everyone was happy.
