Nice store, not the zoo that it was upon opening but still several ad items not on the shelf or not even available in our state! In their ad they had Obermulen?? chocolate milk. I was excited to see it as Obermulen?? seems to have pulled out of our market in all the other stores Ive tried. Unfortunately the ad was a bit of a misnomer as it covers all of the US and Obermulen?? is not available in MN :( They did have a very similar product, even in the same type glass bottle/size. Obermulen?? was on sale but Fresh Thyme refused to sub the basically same product! I said it was a very similar product and thought they should sub it since the item in the ad wasnt available in my market but they basically said TOUGH LUCK!. They pointed to some very fine print in the bottom back of their ad that said something to the effect that "Not all items available in all markets". Oh other than the chocolate milk I was returning for a item they were out of stock a couple weeks prior, chocolate almond milk. The shelf was STILL empty but found a dairy guy who found some in back, after a 5 minute wait on my part. Overall they do seem to have some good deals and they are very "produce" centric, similar to a co-op or maybe Trader Joes but from my limited experience they dont seem to be able to keep ad items in stock and for the most part dont really care.....

My wife and I bought some lobster tails there about 6 months ago. Brought them home and they smelled funny. I said I would never go back, however my wife convinced me to go back this last Sunday. They had the ribeye on sale so I asked the gentleman behind the counter where I could find them, he said they were all out, "why dont you have the NY Strip Steak" I told him I prefer the ribeye, but he insisted that I get a NY Strip. I declined and moved on. My wife said lets get some corn beef and make sandwiches. We asked for it to be sliced thin almost shaved, however we got planks of slices. My son was with us and he wanted a snack, so we opened up the corn beef in the check out line to give him a snack when my wife noticed Brown spots all over the meat. We told the cashier we dont trust this meat, she said "oh theres nothing wrong with it" we didnt purchase it. Maybe it was just bad luck or timing, however when I told my friend about my experience, he said he had a similar experience with the blueberries a few weeks ago. I hope other people are having better luck, you wont have to wait for me in their check out line any more.

good selection for what it is and great prices in comparison to the same products at competing stores. the reason i have given it such a low rating is the meat counter and management. every single time i go to fresh thyme it takes 20+ minutes to get a half pound of a few selections of deli meat, even when byerlys and lunds are super busy it does not take half that time. the workers are extremely slow (so slow sometimes it almost seems purposeful, almost) and behind the counter is often a huge mess, because the workers have decided to not wrap the meat back up. i have pointed this issue out to management multiple times, with little to no care shown by them. the only reason i return is because they have the deli meat brand i like and it is and average or $3 cheaper a pound than any other store in the area. however the last few times i have just paid more money and gone to lunds or byerlys for the better service, thats how bad it is truly. otherwise i do enjoy the rest of fresh thyme, the store in generally clean and well organized with lots of good deals.

I have been coming here at least once a week since it opened. Love the prices on produce and meat (the housemade sausage is phenomenal). The fruit doesnt seem to last quite as long as from cub but much better than SAMs Club. The selection isnt quite as good as Cub but cone in its 1/10th the size. I always shop here first for the produce and meat then run over to Cub for dry goods. My bill is always about half of what I expect it will be .. Only negative is some of the cashiers are space cadets. For example, yesterday the cashier was ringing up the lady in front of me who was obviously in a hurry. She stopped in the middle of ringing up an energy bar and starts reading the ingredients "oh this is a new brand look theres organic chocolate" etc and rings it up twice on accident when customer clears her throat impatiently .. Then we had to wait while she tried to figure out how to void an item. Aside from the crazies, love this new addition to the neighborhood.

Quit going here about eight months ago due to incredibly bad customer service, olive oil bottles always out of stock, and a salad bar that was always old, dirty and not well stocked. Against my better judgment I was taken here today, 6/26/2017. I did not think it was possible for the salad bar to be any worse, but they managed it. The lettuce was old and wilted (black), the shredded chicken (I think) and shredded mystery meat were grey, oxidized and old. The unknown "meat" salad with Crasins on it had so much milk coming out of it that the spoon in the dish was full as was the bottom of the dish (gross). Much of the salad bar is not labeled, so you have no idea what you are getting (for people with allergies, thats potentially deadly). The other "trendy" salads, seeds and nuts were all gross looking and old. This place has no quality control and the management simply does not care. I will never go back again.

I would never come back. The store layout is beyond crowded and frustrating to navigate, the aisles are tiny, the checkout area you are literally crammed next to the aisle and people next to you...there is no separation between checkouts and you are on top of each other. I am here on a weekday at 1pm and its unbearable. I can not imagine what a weekend shopping experience would involve. The staff basically has to yell and shout for people to move so they can get through aisles to stock. The aesthetics are unappealing and messy looking, making it hard to locate anything. Its too bad...they have some competitive prices on a few items I was looking for it, but saving the $5 was not worth the 25 min wait in line on a Wednesday afternoon. I would have much rather spent less time in a more pleasant environment at my local co op and spent the extra $5. Plus, I would have received better produce and service.

Before this grocery store opened, I was skeptical of another similar business opening in the area. As a long time resident watching super value and rainbow close in this area I wasnt sure why another chain would attempt to open. The whole foods in Edina is terrible regarding service and pricing, Ive never heard of fresh thyme previously and I made an assumption they were cut from the same cloth. After visiting their location, it is now my regular grocery store. The selection isnt wide but the prices and quality are a good value. They have a great selection of fresh produce at highly competitive prices. I hope it remains this way and not merely a "new store" strategy.
