I recently visited the store to fill 2 prescriptions, I drove nearly 35 minutes in order to take advantage of an online coupon which Save On advertised through a mobile app since money is tight right now I wanted to find the lowest cost just like any other consumer. Once the rep called my name to pay for my script I showed her the coupon and her reply was we dont honor that price. I expressed to the rep that I drove from the other side of town only because I figured Id be saving almost $90 - I requested to see what she could do. Mind you the cost of the script is much cheaper at CVS and other places Ive visited before. Thats when a very unfriendly man Dave Efros approached the counter, he was not professional in my opinion right off the get go. I explained how far I drove and he then replied "We dont honor that coupon" and without a apology or any type of customer care blurted out rudely "You dont have to buy from us, theres plenty more store you can go to". Being in a hurry I went ahead with the purchase as I was almost running late for a meeting due to the length of the transaction. Afterwards I approached another employee and asked if I could speak to a manager regarding the price. The manager approached me and I explained the situation in detail, he replied "Im not sure why they wont honor your coupon and Ill see what I can do for you". I then called around to see if there were any other pharmacies that had a lower price and if they honored the online coupon which Dave rudely turned down. The Kroger on Lone Pine acknowledged the coupon no problem and was the same exact brand as Save On was offering (Dave made it clear this was a better quality script he was offering and that was why the price was almost $50 more than most other places). After going back into the store I approached Dave again and explained my findings and asked for a refund on my script ( wanted to make sure they would still honor my return since I walked out of the store with my meds). He immediately copped an attitude when I put my medication on the counter and was not polite at all. I asked him why he was being so rude, and told him all I]m trying to do is save money since I was going through financial issues. Now as a customer anyone would obviously want the best price for their meds especially when its a cost savings of almost $90. Dave took my meds as a return and rudely threw my prescription paper at me which should have been politely handed to me. During the same time I was on the phone with Kroger to see if the meds were in stock, unfortunately they were out and told Dave just forget the return as I was very late for my meeting and didnt have time for all this. He continued to be rude about the whole situation, barking out that hes been there for over 30 years and he didnt have to accommodate me in a special fashion. On many levels I have never been treated so poorly, talked to in a demeaning manner and advised him Im very upset on how he handled the situation. He replied "Thats fine Ill make sure to make a note on my account to state that they will always be out of stock if I ever tried to fill my script there again. After walking away he kept raising his voice and spouting out many rude comments, I will never go back to this store again - I would like everyone eve though he seemed to have a pretty good track record that it doesnt matter how long hes been there it NOT okay to treat customers with such a rigid and unprofessional manner. My advice is to go somewhere else and somewhere you can utilize Good RX coupon like Kroger thats right down the road at Lone Pine and Orchard Lake Rd area. Very dissatisfied and thats definitely not a way to treat someone that served their country which he definitely was aware of.
