WARNING!!!! Dont visit this Oakland Mall location. In my 20 years of going to various eye locations, Ive NEVER come across an office that is incompetent as this one. Its almost laughable. Im not sure who is the worst, the opticians or doctors. I know visited the location nearly 2 and half weeks ago for contact lens exam and the doctor wanted me to try a new lens. I was told they wouldcl order trial in my rx and be in a week. I was given a return appt and I left. A week later, I return to learn they were never ordered to my surprise. I mean this was the reason I was at this appt. So they order them supposingly again. I was then given another return appt to come back in a week to try them on. I then call 4 days layer after this appt and spoke with Amber to see if they were in. She informed me it takes a week and they should be in by Monday for my appointment. Well its Sunday October 2, 2016 and I decided to call again and Im told that it takes 30 days for me to get this trial pair and they would call me when they are in. No one ever told me this pair of lenses would take 30 days and Im suppose to be ok with that lack of communication. Yoy have charged my insurance and Im left with no lenses or script to order any contact lenses. It was them who suggested this new lense and I have no clue how much the cost is for them because it was never disclosed to me. The lack of professionalism and customer service is embarrassing! STAY CLEAR FROM THIS LOCATION! You have been WARNED!!!

First of all, let me start with saying that calling ahead and scheduling an appointment is highly recommended with this sort of service based industry in order to service the customer best. With that being said, I showed up as they opened on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment. I had broken my glasses the day before at work and was kinda under the gun to make something happen NOW! I was seen by the doctor for an exam within 15 minutes of entering this establishment. Within 45 minutes, I had selected a set of frames and manufacturing of the lenses for my frames had begun. I didnt have a lot of money to spend at the time due to the unforeseen circumstance, but much to my surprise they had a 30% special going with exam and glasses. These ladies were Absolutely Dynamite and I appreciate their superb and friendly customer service and would highly recommend this location to anyone I know. KUDOS to Lenscrafters!!!

Im not big on writing reviews; positive or negative but my recent experience at the Oakland Mall LensCrafters was absolutely phenomenal! I scheduled an appointment the night before I went in and when they called to confirm my appointment I asked if they had any sooner availability and they were able to get me in an hour earlier. Thats perfect because I work a ton of hours and have a family. When I went in the staff was personable, friendly and flat out witty and awesome! They got me in and out without rushing me and didnt try to up sell me on any "extra" services (Ive fallen into that trap before). Even the staff who were not directly helping me were friendly. I had a terrible experience at this particular LensCrafters. I wanted a specific pair of glasses that were not currently in the store. One of the employees said that she would order the glasses I wanted and would get back with me. She did and showed me the glasses in person. However, when I gave her my prescription, she never called to sell me the glasses. I went to the location and she lied and said that they never had the specific glasses I wanted when she showed me them in person. I regret wasting my time there.

My husband just landed a new job that requires him to have safety glasses, so he called the Oakland Mall LensCrafters. They had him in there in an hour. He is amazed with the crew and dr. that works there. "This is the most amazing place I have ever been to". He had his glasses within an hour and is so excited about the overall experience. Thank you ALL at Oakland Mall LensCrafters. I will be going there myself very soon.

Went in to get new lenses at the same prescription and she told me it was ILLEGAL for them to give me my prescription without a new eye exam. This women talk to me l8ke this was common knowledge and I was an idiot for not knowing. It is a complete money grab. Looking for a new eye glass supplier.

Everyone here was super friendly, and really helpful with picking frames and lenses. Had my glasses within the hour an the lady that helped me made me feel really comfortable and explained everything very well. Definitely going to go back here next time I need glasses!

Watch out! The friendly staff here might add extra charges to your bill without your express consent. Be prepared to spend an additional half an hour correcting discrepancies in your bill if youre not careful.
