Rude and offensive owner. When a team member made a mistake on our insurance and didnt inform us prior to the visit (as they assured us they would), it resulted in us being billed when we were of the understanding that we had 100% eye exam coverage via our insurance. Had the team member followed up and given us proper information as they volunteered to do, we would have simply postponed the appointment until we were clear on the actual coverage details. Instead, she said everything was as we believed it was and to come in unless she called back, which she never did. Thus, we did the appointment misled that it was covered, and they attempted to bill us full price immediately after the appointment. They didnt even have the correct insurance on file that I provided. The owner said he would call us the next day to figure out the billing and also to provide pricing specifics for a pair of $500 glasses I was interested in. Eight days later he called and treated us poorly regarding the billing, not to mention he ignored following up on the glasses which would have been an easy sale. After several rude phone calls, he finally admitted that his team member made the mistake that resulted in us getting an exam under false pretenses, then flipped flopped back and forth eventually deciding that he would do nothing to correct the problem except for discounting $7... He called us liars and insisted we pay the bill regardless of the circumstances. Had the team member verified the coverage as they said they would, we would have simply moved the date to ensure the full coverage. This was a simple mistake that could have been fixed by the owner... instead he was rude, accusatory, called us liars, and said that we were trying to get services rendered for free... all over a $49 bill. Rather than correcting the problem, selling us the Ray Bans (and future glasses), and keeping our monthly contacts business, he has lost customers for life.

Recently I approached Visions Optical and asked them to craft a hi end pair of Rudy project sunglasses for me. I am a marathon class runner and like most serious runners find my runs starting before sunrise and after sunset on a regular basis so I needed a functional photochromic lens. I also use a Garmin training watch for on the run metrics as well as pre-programed workouts (speed work, interval runs, hill repeats and what not) so I needed a progressive prescription baked into my lenses so I could see the small numbers and feedback on my watch. I was lucky enough to connect immediately with Charla at Visions Optical whom walked me through the entire process and with obvious extensive experience navigated me through the line of Rudy project frames and lenses going over the pros and cons of each frame and lens that I thought might meet my needs. She did not steer me the wrong way. I was very impressed with her knowledge and patience after I spent time with my new frames and lenses now understand that she really knows her stuff. Along with the experience and knowledgeable guidance provided for my initial purchase, Visions Optical and Charla specifically has proven that they are a true customer advocate. I have recently had ome “excitement” with my new Rudy’s. Visions Optical engaged their Rudy representative to negotiate a more than fair reactive deal to help me overcome destroying my initial pair (please don’t ask what I did as it is a painful memory lol) Anyway the short of it is, is that I have been wearing glasses and contacts my entire life, I am a serious amateur athlete ane I will highly recommend visions optical for anyone that wants a quality pair of eyewear (especially performance sunglasses) and wants to be treated like family! Simply the best!!! Paul and the team at Visions are incredible. I have been going to Visions since I was a young boy and they have always been outstanding. I have since grown up and moved away to Boston. Even miles part, they went out of their way to help me fix my favorite pair of glasses that were no longer being manufactured.
