I have never been so upset in my life. Today, I took my mom to Encore as I do every month. I would have never thought that would have treated her the way that they did today. My mom is still shaking. Here is the problem in a nutshell. My mother purchased a cabinet and dresser for $125 on 7/5. She fell ill and and was unable to arrange delivery arrangements with in the 3 day grace period that the store allows. So we knew the items would be put back on the sales floor. What we didnt know, is that they would not issue a store credit to her (she didnt want a refund). So that means that they resold the items at full price , and took her $125. So in essence they got double the amount that they originally asked for. Not to mention that she was trying to purchase clothing items and housewares that she usually gives to those in need who cant afford things even at thrift store prices. She has her receipt, which is the proof of purchase, and it doesnt mention this poor business practice. Scott the General Manager, did not care that my mom has been shopping there since the opening of the store or that she spends hundreds of dollars there every month, or that fact, which is most important to me, that she is a 70 year old lady that goes to this store as her only outlet nor was she asking for something for nothing. I will be finding a new resale shop for her to go to, and I will be taking legal action. As an owner of a retail store myself, I just wanted warn everyone about this place of business and let the people of this commuinty that we are not all the same, and that customer satisfaction is the foundation of any business.

I bought a bookshelf from there and left it there expecting to have it delivered to me I spoke with the delivery guy and he was going to charge too much so I decided to pick it up myself. The unnecessary cruel Manager Karen told me I needed 2 receipts one wasnt enough and I couldnt get it. i go back up there with the receipt she was very nasty they had resold my book shelf to someone else had not notified me and after looking for appr. an hour she said they had to call me cause its no longer in stock when I never received not one phone call she refused to issue me a refund or exchange and told me to take her to court. My advice to everyone do not spend your money at such an unprofessional establishment.

The store is very clean and they take pride in their displays. They have two very clean bathrooms and the staff is always kind and helpful. They have daily specials and discounts weekly. Some of their goods can be a little overpriced, but as long as you are shopping on a discount day, its a very good deal! Joining their email Club is also very beneficial for discounts and whats going to be discounted.

I found several lovely sweaters at only $1 each this month!! @ Linda, I find it very hard to believe they advertised anything about the Catholic church since this resale shop is run to support a Protestant Christian School and provide tuition help. I am pleased to be able to help any family with educational costs that will base the childrens education on Gods Word and not on the "worlds ways".

This little shop has high quality items. And it has senior Mondays and Under 55 Wednesdays. 95% staffed by volunteers, though, means you shouldnt wait til 10 minutes before closing. You could miss out! Staff are friendly and helpful. A nice man carried my dishes and furniture out to my car. And if you pay for your items, the store will hold them for up to three days! Wish it were closer!!!

Best resale shop. So great Im hesitant to share! Seriously though the merchandise is not garage sale things they are what you would buy new but at great prices. Clothing is 4 dollars to 8 dollars and on sale days 50% off. They have a sale everyday and have everything from clothing to athletic gear. Furniture is retro chic and modern. Best part is it is for charity.

Nice location. Easy to find. Large selection of designer clothes. They also have things for your house including dishes, pictures and some estate things. Go early or the first of the month and you might find a bargain. If you are looking for assistance you will not get it. You are basically on your own to wonder around.

They receive all the clothes and furniture for free from the community and they sell at high prices!!! They also upon purchase place cards in your bag about the catholic church. Is that even legal? I went in to purchase goods, not to pay for missionary conversion!

They had just what we were looking for, a new couch for our living room. They also had jeans for my daughter and some shoes I could use for work. The merchandise was well displayed and the staff was very good. Check it out.
