Just opened this summer, the newest Parts Galore is right at home in terms of format and massive size. Unlike the other PGs this place is MUCH more cleaner and organized. I assume that has to do with the lower traffic and the different clientele here. I went here on the 3rd day they were open so the yard actually wasnt even full yet but many of the cars werent even picked over yet. During processing they remove all the after market stereos and other stuff from cars than can be resold and put them on a self in the exiting lobby and it was stacked FULL of stuff. One thing that kinda lets the place down is the variety, it seems like they have several of the same car rather than a variety. For example the minivans section is highly populated with Ford Windstars (attributed to the recent mass-buy back Ford did of these vans), however rather than setting them out in the yard I think its safe to just send most of them to the crusher. Other than that, this is a great place for the DIYer, with very pleasant employees, Id recommend them to anybody.

The only gripe I have right now is the fact that this location closes at 600 pm as stated on their website, but they actually close entry to the yard at 530 pm. Thats not an unreasonable policy, however, I could not find any easily showcased closed yard time on their website. I also called looking for a car model, and they never gave the courtesy of saying the yard will be closing in 30 mins, just as a heads up. I drove around 30 miles to get to this location only to arrive at a closed door, with the only visible sign for closing time on the door itself. I asked the receptionist at counter about closing time, and he immediately acted rude and condescending. It was completely unnecessary. I have no problem with the policy, but it would be a good idea to have yard closing time visible on site and if someone calls within the hour, a heads up. Also when a customer ask an honest question, it would be great not to get berated by an employee.

I live in Detroit where we have two Parts Galore stores and I will drive all the way to this Flat rock store because the EMPLOYEES HAVE A MUCH BETTER ATTITUDE than at the Detroit stores. The prices are better and the selection of parts is better as well. My favorites for Pick a Part yards are in order from good experience to bad: 1. Parts Galore - Flatrock MI. 2. Disappointing. I called and told the guy I was looking for a part for a 2006 F150. He said "Youll have to go out and look. We dont inventory the vehicles, but we have a lot of F150s" I go there, pay the admission fee and cant find one F150 that was 2006 or newer. I havent needed to go to a junkyard in a long time and this was the 1st place I had been too that charged you to enter. What a waste of my time, and money. Will not go back.

Very large selection there and clean place but prices are high compared to other pull it yourself yards and charges for to may other reasons...1$ in fee, environmental fee, handeling fee, and 5$ a part guarantee fee. Gets exspencive but overall good. Would like to see more reasonable used parts prices.

Awesome place to get car parts. You pay your $1 to get in and take your own parts off. Prices are cheap and they offer warranties on items too. The selection is great here. Their other two locations are great as well in the Detroit area.

Used to be a great place to go to not they raised prices and do not stay open late wish sucks because most people get out of work at 5 or 6 but they are closed by thin it also use to be a dollar to get in now its 2

Called looking for a part, just told me yes they had the vehicle, couldnt bring up the engine info, and wouldnt go check. Not driving that distance for a gamble.
