I thought it was lovely. The tea sets adorning the shelves, the furniture, and pillows were all so rich and beautiful to take in. The staff were polite & helpful. They didnt offer my favorite tea flavor blend of sweet & spicy, so I told the young lady server that I wanted a sweet, black tea. She educated me on a couple of choices and I absolutely loved my choice--lychee. I ordered a single cup, so I got a diffuser for the tea leaves, plus a timer so that Id get the perfect steeping time. It was served on a wooden tray designed to allow your diffuser, spoon, etc. to set right on it and drain. The server pointed out the different temperature hot taps that I could help myself to up to 2 more times (supposedly until the tea leaves would lose their potency--I was conversing & never got a refill, so I dont know how strong it stays) and then off I went to a table to enjoy. The cup was so gorgeous w/a colorful, golden dragon being the focal point of the design. A lovely first visit.

Had a drink here which had almost no flavor. I bought five loose leaf tea packages here for my dad for Christmas (since I had also bought him a tea infuser) and literally five minutes after I purchased them I found out that he had recently found a store in Somerset Mall, Teavana, that sells loose leaf teas that he liked. So I wanted to return them. And they told me "sorry, no returns" even though I had JUST bought them five minutes before! Clearly they were unopened in their same packages. So one of the emloyees said the most I could do is give you a gift card and, while I was upset, I said all right to this. And then he said well no I really shouldnt do that either. No wonder they didnt want me to return them, I tried the teas afterwards and the flavors were very weak. If you really like teas, I ended up going to that store in Somerset, Teavana, that my dad likes and it was fantastic! I think they have other locations too. Really good teas, really great customer service.

The cookies are tasteless, and the tea is terrible. The worst part is that the owner is very rude and snotty. Youd THINK she would want business- but I went there with my friend, and she was very rude to both of us! At the end of the night when we were standing chatting with a friend, saying our goodbyes, and she barked at us that we were in her way. (It wasnt like she was even carrying anything heavy, just a plate of her tasteless awful cookies!) We moved, anyway, and then she yelled at us AGAIN! She has what I am guessing is a granddaughter that she obviously is clueless what to do with, because when people were performing, the kid was watching tv at full volume! Yep, thats pretty welcoming. Basically, you feel like she is just barely tolerating your presence in her living room, and it makes you wish to be someplace else as quickly as possible!

i used to be a regular a few years ago and i could walk in there and nobody would pay me any mind. but now every time i go in there, the staff acts like im in their way since they are always cleaning so they stare at me like im being an inconvenience. i moved, but they still stared. i let that one go, and went back a few days later and someone working there was very rude to me for taking too long to order. they also stared at my friends and i the whole time suspiciously, both the manager and the staff. management told me "we got bills to pay." i thought that was a bit out of place and kind of rude. not going back, they dont treat the youth as well as they treat older people. i didnt end up ordering anything and i wont from now on.

Its my new place to get work done. Ive switched from drinking coffee all day to teas and Im not a tea drinker at all. You get nifty cups to keep resteeping your tea leaves and the people help educate you about tea if you ask. They also do tea tastings for groups to learn more about tea. I have not done that yet. The inside and decorations are very cool but kinda dim in the back and can get noisy if it fills up. Not a problem since it is still gaining in its customer base. Great spot to get work done with free wifi and lots of power plugs. However, sound carries so dont have too many private conversations here.

Want to give this a five, if it only had organic choices. But hands down this is one of the best bubble tea places in Michigan and I used to go to all of them in Ann Arbor. Also wish they had organic whole milk selection, at least- instead of skim. I always tell them to make it less sweet- but they are very accommodating and the atmosphere is great there! I get the almond coconut chocolate bubble tea with black tea and skim milk and black bubbles--yum, yum. Never impressed with the food selections-but the bubble tea is so good- I dont care : )

I dont visit royal oak frequently, but when I do this is definitely one of my go to places. The "bubble tea" is an interesting concept in which is very enjoyable, and the smoothies are fantastic, with a plethora of flavors available to suit anyones taste. Not to mention the FANTASTIC service, in which the employees are very professional and polite. If you live in royal oak or are just stopping by, be sure to check out the Goldfish Tea Cafe.

Really good tea.... so its unfortunate that the customer service is SO BAD. I dont even know WHY they are so RUDE the few times Ive been in there. I keep thinking and hoping that when I see a new person at the counter they are gonna be nice....but nope! I always say please and thank you....and barely even get an eye glance. Customer service is everything, so they only get 1 star.

I love this place. Bubble tea is my favorite and every year during the Arts, Beats, & Eats festival I make my way to Golfish Tea to get some delicious bubble tea! This cafe itself has a comforting and homey feel to it, making you want to just sit there and relax while you drink you tea. Although a tad pricey, I think this place is worth the visit!

Ive been going to this tea shop for years! Since my early college days at OCC. Its always been the perfect place to study and relax. Amazing tea and soups. My favorite is the milk oolong tea, really delicious! Plus you have got to check out the free entertainment Tuesday nights for some nice guitar and song. Im in love with goldfish tea!

I grab a small pot of tea with three friends here every Friday night. The tea choices are extensive and all are delicious (aside from puer, but that may just not be my thing). However, we frequent this cafe not just for its tea but also for its varied entertainment every Friday night. Some good, some bad, but nevertheless always entertaining.

Staff was extremely helpful in selecting my drink, tasted great with a wonderful experince. Decor was nice, but the back of the store (were most seating is) looks a bit lacking compared to the front. Price is pretty steep. If it were a bit cheaper would be here at least once a week and rate 5 stars without a doubt.
