Starbucks is Starbucks. You go in, order your venti mocha frappe whatever, complain when you ordered coconut milk and they *gasp* gave you coconut water instead (the horror! how can you go on?), then you storm out of the store just to go to another location 0.032 miles up the roads the next day. HOWEVER, this location is probably one of the best stores (and Ive been to a lot) around. The staff are genuinely nice, you get none of those fake smiling, internally screaming "Hi welcome to [insert coprate logo here]" underpaid employee greetings. The store has a unique layout complete with an AMAZING fireplace and an area perfect for small meetings. There is plenty of seating spread around the store and it feels warm and inviting when you walk in. They do get pretty busy around late morning to mid-afternoon, and, strangely enough, Thursday evenings its pretty much the hangout spot for the local biker crowd

This starbucks offers very POOR service. Every time I go in there, I wait for an extended amount of time because the people behind the counter are gossiping. It is ridiculous. Then, my order (which is very easy and pretty standard- peppermint mocha) takes for forever, and usually comes out after the customers behind me. I put up with it for a long time because it is most convenient. But, I will be going to a different one and driving out of my way for better service. I recommend you do too!

This Starbucks kicks and the staff and service are excellent. Special kudos to Jessie and Mike! The added experience of all the motorcycles and vintage autos there is a delight, and the children enjoy looking at and the Bike riders even let them sit on. I am from the Seattle WA area and this establishment really perfects the Starbucks experience.

A cosy Starbucks with an unusual space creatively arranged for optimal seating. Frankly its not the best for meeting with 3 or more people. Working on your own or meeting with a friend here is more suitable. Drinks are up to Starbucks standard, baristas are acceptable, though not as pepper and polite as most locations Ive visited.

The whole ora, is nice and inviting, compassion shown to the homeless community, such a blessing, the cashiers, and the workers hear are so nice and friendly smiles, engaging in conversation with the customers, making them feel welcomed and appreciated, I love everything about Starbucks, especially the ppl as coffee , lol!

Its a Starbucks, people. The only thing that can vary from one location to another is the service. The service here was satisfactory. If Im sitting down for coffee and have my choice between a chain coffee shop and a local shop, Ill buy local anytime. If Im on the go, Ill probably choose Starbucks. Enjoy!

Always pretty clean and the staff are friendly. Food and drink offerings are pretty standard Starbucks fare and the speed of service is what you should expect when going to a Starbucks. Internet speeds are good enough for connecting to remote workstations, connections dont drop either.

Pretty standard Starbucks experience on the inside, weirdly a hangout spot for local bikers. Open a bit later than other Starbucks in the area, justified too, almost always someone inside right up until close.

Poor parking. Being in downtown royal oak you have to pay to park which is usually not close. Always the risk of a parking ticket
