I purchase 2 main products from Ulta in Portage MI. Peter Thomas Roth Max Correction Face Pads ($40) and Juice Beauty Anti Wrinkle Cream($68). This is my 2nd time i have purchased a product that was used. The first instance was my face pads seal was fully opened with dried product on the rim and horrible smell. (Who knows how many pads were used without me knowing). A couple days ago I purchased the skin lotion, that too was clearly used. The bottle had scuffs on it and upon opening the lid, dried up lotion streaks on the top of dispenser. The top still was sealed on the packaging, but was opened from the bottom. I visited today for an exchange and expressed my concernes to a manager. She claimed that they do not put returned product back on the floor and that customers may play with product and put it back on the shelf; which may be true, but i am now questioning if thats true since its happened 2 times now with my only 2 products i purchase there. I also explained it took a special trip, an hour out of my day with drive to exchange since i was out of lotion. I was comped with 2 samples. Considering they never let me use my $3 off and i pay a premium price for these products, i was hoping for a monetary credit. This was not the case. Very disappointed and will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

I go to this Ulta only because it is the only one available in my area. Yes, theres Sephora at the Crossroads Mall but they dont have nearly as much as Ulta. Overall, its ok. Its basically like any other Ulta youve ever been to with makeup, hair products, and a salon in the back. Ive only ran into an issue with them not having a product in stock a couple times and the girls are helpful for the most part. My biggest beef with this store is the free items you get when you buy a particular amount of something else. I dont understand why the register doesnt alert the employee when the customer purchases something that is eligible for a free item. Every time I am suppose to receive something free with my purchase the girls seem oblivious to the promotion. They are always happy to get the free item once I bring it up to them but I feel bad for other customers who dont pay attention to the promotions and dont receive their free stuff due to the employees negligence.

Terrible customer service. Bought a product, didnt use it and tried to return it. Come to find out, the barcode # didnt match the one on the receipt. Not my fault the cashier scanned the wrong item or put the wrong item in my bag. Either way, the manager said she would look into it, check the cameras and contact IT...its been two weeks now and havent heard anything. Cancelling my Ulta credit card and Ill be shopping elsewhere from now on.

If you get your hair done here and they give you a time frame such as "It will only take 30 minutes or less", then please for the love of god add another hour expectation onto that... Weve been waiting for almost 2 hours for her to get done, for something we were told would take 30 minutes or less, and she got in right away and didnt have to wait. Please remember to figure in an extra hour or more to any suggested time they give you.

HORRIBLY RUDE AND JUDGMENTAL WOMEN WORK HERE. I am constantly having to deal with attitude. In one instance I experienced a woman walk in and heard the workers snicker and laugh at this customer behind her back. I will NEVER come here again. Sephora in the Crossroads mall is amazing if you are looking for similar products, they are actually helpful.

I usually have an excellent experience at this store. Today zero workers asked if I needed help. The cashier was complaining about a previous customer. The salrsperson continued with my purchases, calling me "Hon" at least three times. I am twice her age. Not appropriate. You can do better.

I got my eyebrows done today and Rachel did them. I had an amazing experience and she remembered me from the last time I got them done and we always have great conversations. Shes such a kind person and amazing at what she does. I am never let down when she does my eyebrows

If you need a new salon, give this one a try. Trina is amazing at mens hair as well as fixing anything to your liking. If you have an Ulta card, using the salon gets you extra points, too, and Ulta really is the best place for beauty and self-care products.

Terrible makeup experience. The person doing my makeup had no clue what she was doing. Washed eyeshadow off my eyelids several times. My makeup looked like a kid did it and my eyelids are raw from being cleaned so many times in a row.

Always, Always, Always, ALWAYS out of Urban Decay stuff! And the staff which is always super nice, smiles and says we cant keep it in stock... so the manager obviously needs to do a better job of stocking!!!
