While I have shopped at Petco for dog food and some supplies, recently I have been shopping at Petco a lot more and have nothing but good things to say. ***Please keep in mind readers, I do my own grooming at home, therefore I dont use Petcos grooming service, I am not in search of an animal to purchase from Petco, I simply shop for supplies at Petco.*** For me I usually shop at Petco and havent purchased much from their online store, however, Petcos products are always very nicely made and a pretty good price if youre part of their Pals program. If youre not part of their Pals program its super easy to join, however, if you dont want to the prices are still quite fair in comparison to other pet stores. This Petco is clean and well kept up, something I want to see in any pet store I will even consider shopping at. As for the quality of products within the store, I think just about everything they carry is very nice. Now, of course, I havent actually tried every single product Petco carries, however, through looking at what I see on the shelves, hold, and some have purchased, theyre all quite nice. While my dog sadly doesnt play with toys, so Im never really in the toy aisle, however, Petcos online store holds many cute dog toys and if you read the reviews youre sure to find something nice. I personally havent purchased live aquatic life from Petco, however, seeing from how theyre cared for at Petco they seem pretty nice. Also, along with fish and whatnot, they have small animals which look well cared for and healthy. Of course, I dont ever plan on purchasing a small animal from Petco and have read that while they look fine in store they become ill soon after purchasing. On that note, Id advise any shopper of a small animal to do their research of that animal thoroughly and make sure you know what youre getting when you buy a small animal from Petco. I dont know how they are health-wise beyond the fact that most look active and moving when I walk past their tanks to see them. I have included photos of some things I have purchased through Petco, all are not recent purchases but go to show how well made their products are. Recently I also got my dog some cow ears from Petco which were very nice and she loves them. I include product photos because that is a huge part of what Petco is all about and why I shop there. Overall, the products that Petco offers are very nice and its a great place to shop for your pet.

I expected a great grooming experience as $49.00 is MORE than what I have ever paid for grooming. I specifically asked the groomer to keep my dogs face round like a puppy and to keep her eyelashes longer and to NOT shave her legs....told her I had to have pictures done for a marketing event on Monday (the next day) and wanted her to keep a bit of a scruffy but cleaner look. I reiterated to NOT cut the fur off her legs. Having her body shorter was just fine, but blending in the legs would be what I wanted. I came back to get her (her appointment was at 10am and picked her up at 2pm) she was just finishing up....I looked in the window and was very upset....she was shaved all one length about 1/2 inch all around ---- her ears were long (which is the only thing I got that I wanted, but forgot to mention it to her) she has no eyelashes and for a 6 month old puppy she looks as though she is about 12 years old....her eyes are popping out and looks nothing like the dog I own. When I told the lady I was upset because she shaved her legs, after I asked her not to....she said she HAD to because it all had to be the same length....Now, I do hair and my mother does her own grooming for her dog....we are armature groomers and have NEVER had any issues blending in the long hair on the legs with the rest of the body....for a "professional groomer" to not be able to do this is a red flag. She said she was going to make sure we added it to her file that she could do the long hair on the legs next time. I would have thought she could have either helped with the $49 bill or comped the hair cuts as I was clearly not happy!!! Nope...paid full price and walked out pissed! Should you decide to go there, please make sure you walk in with the expectation that your dog will not be groomed the way you ask them to groom it.

Ive had a couple good experiences at this Petco; however, the middle-aged woman that works in the fish and reptile area is very rude. I went in for a few Koi fish for my pond and she asked if I brought my own container to bring them home. I told her "no" and that I have gotten Koi fish for my pond there before and they put them in bags for me. I live 5 minutes away. She refused to get them for me. Then, I asked for a Red-Eared Turtle. She literally rolled her eyes at me and asked if it were for my pond, as well. I told her yes. I have one other turtle in there and wanted a second. She refused and told me it would die overnight because they cant handle the cooler Michigan summer nights. Funny because they are indigenous to some parts of Michigan and Ive had another one in there for quite some time now. Anyhow, I walked out of there with my the kids and not purchasing anything because of her. I drove to the Battle Creek Petco and they were more than happy to help me in what I wanted. Oh, and the fish did just fine in the supplied bags from Petco on the half-hour drive home. Also, the turtle is doing wonderfully in the pond after almost a month of the cooler Michigan summer nights. As long as she is employed at this location, my business will go to the Battle Creek Petco or another company altogether.

training classes were HORRIBLE. I spent over a hundred dollars under the impression that because the trainer oversaw the region he was in good hands. Clearly, its just a title she has been given because all I got out of it is that my dog can sit (which I taught him from pinterest before the classes even started) I had to miss a couple classes due to work and the trainer said she would make it up with me after puppy play time on Saturdays. You know what I got? 5 minutes each time with her talking to other people during it. He failed the class not to my surprise and was told I could retake the class. I have called the store multiple times about this and every time was told the trainer would contact me...never happened. Also, the last time I took my puppy to this playtime thing there was a creepy lady who didnt even have her own dog in there playing with them all. She picked up my puppy without asking 2 times and the trainer saw it and wouldnt do anything to help me so I had to handle it. Dont waste your money
