Dont give these people your business!!!!! Its not worth the headache!!!! I took my pistol there to have some work done on it. It was there for almost two months waiting for a spring for the trigger. I got tired of waiting so I told them to cancel the order if they could. They said that they couldnt but they could use the spring on another pistol. When I went in to pick my pistol up they wanted to charge $10.00 for leaving it there. I said I didnt think I should have to pay considering that it sat there for two months and they did nothing to it!!! I was told to take my gun and leave!!!! What a waste of time!!!!! I would recommend staying clear of the Powder Keg. They are slow and dont want to do business!!!!!

Ok Only local place to get a pistol. Didnt feel like driving out to Metro Detroit to get one. So I got it here. Wasnt anything special. Old garage or something for their shop. Hours are not great. Sometimes you can go in there and swap gun stories. Feels like their trying to screw you out of everything you got, cause their not making a lot of money, so they got to milk ya for everything you got. Overpriced, small selection. Anyway, I will go to Westland next time I buy a pistol, or Fowlerville.

Stopped by for their new "grand opening," I was seriously interested in a Mauser rifle and considered purchasing, but was told by the weird looking old-guy behind the counter "nuh uh, dunt u think bout touchin that." WOW! Talk about stereotypes. No wonder they needed to "reopen." It was only a $200 gun, nothing special. Dont disrespect your customers! On top of that... very poor selection, and the place is heavily in need of renovation. Highly recommend visiting other stores instead.

I have dealt with Walt for quite a few years. Once you get to know him he is a great guy. You have to remember he is a small dealer and doesnt get the same discounts as the big box stores so has a difficult time selling at big box prices. I agree he can be cranky sometimes, But for the most part he is easy to deal with. He will treat you well if you treat him well. I recommend that you give him a chance and over time you will be surprised really how nice he can be.

I called before I drove up there to see if they had the ammo I was looking for. Walt the owner told me he had 3 brands in stock. I replied cool I will see you soon. Later that day I went in and asked for 2 different brands. The very disrespectful kid behind the counter told me he would only sell one box because he cant get anymore. Plus they wanted 25% more per box than any other store in Howell. This store is a rip off. I will never step foot in there again!

Very knowledgeable guy! He may not have the biggest selection on guns (well over 100 so not small) but they range from guns made in the 1800s up to current firearms and some extremely unique/rare gun items youll never find in any other store, possibly not even online. Plus, its a mom and pops store , Id rather give my money to a place like that over the big guys. Keep up the good work Mr. Casper ! ----FedEx Joe

I wouldnt buy anything from Walt. Hes rude, ignorant, and too broke to give you a fair price for your trade. Hes your typical smart-*** egotistical gun dealer. Do yourself a favor and go to Cabelas or buy off the internet. An *** like this doesnt deserve your business.
