Do not buy carpet here. Carpet itself is fine, and the people who put it in were conscientious and did a good job. The company they contract with to schedule carpet installations, Untied Home Services, is terrible. Had to schedule six weeks out; nothing sooner. Two days before install, they called to reschedule. Said if we didnt take a new date three weeks farther out, they would push us farther down the list and wed have to wait even longer. Day of install they called to reschedule again, saying installers truck broke down and we had no choice. Installer was already working in our house, no broken down truck. Liars never prosper, unless they work for home Depot scheduling carpet installations in Michigan. Had to wait over two months to get carpet replaced in our flooded basement. Multiple calls to store management and national HD customer care number provided no resolution or improvement. Free installation: you get what you pay for. The rest of the store is fine.

We are looking for blinds for some very old front windows in our house. Originally we went to Lowes and they were really unhelpful. They acted like we were bothering them. It took forever for us to track anyone down and the whole thing just felt weird. We left there feeling very frustrated. We ended up deciding that we would try Home Depot instead and Im so glad we did. Not only did Crystal come over and help us immediately, but she was so nice and knowledgeable. She had creative solutions to every issue we brought up, was upfront about prices and answered all of our questions all while making me feel like I wasnt out with my two kids doing a chore. Kudos to HD for hiring her because she is awesome! We will always try Home Depot first from here on out. This is what customer service is about. You guys got it right! Thank you so much to Crystal for helping us figure out a solution. We will be buying all of our blinds from HD.

I am usually at HD about once/week. Not sure what has happened but over the last year the level of service has drastically decreased, the prices have gone up, and the workers, if you can find one, are not very helpful/knowledgeable and quick to run away. For example, I went in to buy a $2,000 mower and after 10 minutes of looking for someone to help, I went to the service desk, who called THREE different managers, all “too busy” and finally the (4th) manager that came to assist, after 20 minutes mind you, had ZERO knowledge of lawn mowers. To his credit, he did offer to read the manual for me ... WOW!.

Stay away from the installation services especially for siding and roofing. We went to Home Depot and picked out our siding an shingles and when we had a presentation we were informed they would not install what we choose. THEY WOULD ONLY INSTALL CERTAIN OPTIONS. This was a total bait and switch. In addition they were extremely high. We had contacted the manager of the installation Dennis whom is out of central Michigan and he mentioned "THEY WANT TO BE ONE OF THE HIGHEST IN COST!" This was defiantly not "more savings, more doing"

I have been a loyal customer and I think I spent around $8000 at the Home Depot in the last 12 months, today will be my last. I bought a set of washer and dryer with extended warranty, have them less than 48 hours and dryer act up, came to the store to ask for return to get a different set and I was welcome with some attitude from 2 different person at the counter, dont give me straight answer, just trying to push me to call some stupid number that I have to put on hold for hours. Customer service was awful, I am done with this store

Customer service is awful. I could not find the two items I came for. Had 2 employees walk by me engaged in their personal conversation and wouldnt look at me. Then another walking towards me, stopped to pet a dog for a couple minutes. I waited patiently while they discussed their dogs for a couple minutes, then the employee stood up and walked past me. This is typical of this location. I come here nearly every weekend because of some sort of home repair and know I will be left to my own to find everything.

Im renovating my home so Ive been making lots of trips to the Walker and Kentwood Home Depots. I NEVER prefer to go to the Kentwood location. They are very understaffed and the couple of workers that are there are over worked and rude if you ask for help. The store layout is kinda wonky too. It takes 20 mins to find someone if youre lucky at Kentwood, I can go to Walker and get friendly help in 5 mins tops!

Dont get installation services here. Damaged my property, claimed no responsibility. When I posted a negative review elsewhere they tried to pay me to take it down (not nearly close to what they owed for the damage). When I turned that down, they had an attorney send me a letter threatening if I did not remove the review. HD - I will continue to post everywhere until you take responsibility.

I wish I could give 0 stars. We paid for carpeting in April and have jumped through a million hoops to try and get it installed. Our installers came out to our house 3 times and had the same issue all three times. There were a million excuses and reasons why it took so long and now we have canceled our order. You will never get your product easily or on time, do NOT have them install anything.

All I wanted was security bits and there was no one that answered the phone before I came in and than there was no one in the hardware department to help out. The store was trashed and the greeter didnt even look at anyone the cashier looked like she was bored of her job. I will never shop at a home depot again

This store strive to provide excellent customer service. Dont be afraid to ask for a discount if you see a lower price on a similar item somewhere else. I always get better customer service here and they are more knowledgeable than the people at Lowes down the street. Their lumber is better too!

I am very happy with my order from Home Depot,, I ordered interior shutters, they were delivered promptly and were of much better quality than I imagined they would be. I ordered some late Thursday and they were delivered on Monday, I have no complaints about that or the quality of the merchandise

Brought my 3 month puppy in with me while I shopped for new draw pulls and knobs for kitchen cabinets. Every employee in the store was so friendly and helpful. It is nice to take the puppy to a place where they appreciate the process of raising a well behaved dog. We will be back, often.

It is hard to give top marks for anything as I am somewhat cynical but this store has the combination of good people and attentive management. I am in a large construction project 60k+ and am getting almost everything here. The ProDesk is knowledgeable and friendly.
