Good Michigan product; but dont trust your business gifts to them. Dont let their warehouse and logistics team make you and your business look like an idiot like they did to me. Ive been doing business with Cherry Republic since 2012 and have spent thousands with them. Ive always sent my clients "Super Seven" (one of the most expensive packages). Ive been visiting Glen Arbor since a child and watched this business grow. A client mentioned to me in 2014 how they loved the "turtle chocolates" and "sausage" they received. Someone at Cherry Republic charged me for a super seven but replaced it with another package without letting me know. Embarrassed; I called customer service and they gave me a $50 gift card to remedy the situation...ok that was nice; Ill let it slide. In 2016, it was the last straw. I sent the business gifts Excel sheet filled out properly as usual mid-November 2016. In December I received a photo from a client asking if they had received the intended gift? They received a package with another clients holiday message in it. The result of this was that it let that particular customer know who else I was doing business with and made my business look incompetent. Knowing the rest of the packages were in shipment to all of my other clients I had to damage control the rest of them and let them all know they may receive messages addressed to other clients; again making my business look incompetent. Frantic; I tried to contact Cherry Republic business gifts. They send out no shipping information to businesses; so you have no way of tracking shipments. It was after 5pm; but I sent them an e-mail anyway. The next day, it was nearing 9am without hearing anything from them so I called. Was told they will check the warehouse. Heard back from them at 10:30am to 11:00am..surprise most of the other shipments had already been delivered at that time except one. I told them to stop the shipment; ensure the message in it was correct, then re-ship it. The pain still doesnt stop there. The particular business this package was supposed to go to has two offices. I sent one super seven to each office. The one in-route package was to a west coast office. As far as I know Cherry Republic stopped this package, ensured it was correct and sent it on. Good job there. Mysteriously I get contacted by the west coast office again a week later letting me know they received a second shipment. As far as we both know the mid-US office never received a shipment to begin with...so my west coast client ships the holiday gift themselves to their mid-US office. Complete incompetence all around. Ive worked for years to build a small contracting business and I would have been better off to not send anything through Cherry Republic this year. If this has happened to me 2x in the last four years Im confident it is happening to other people as well. P.S. Their print advertising is also overly aggressive. I dont need six to eight brochures sent to two different addresses every year showcasing the same products over and over again.

Likes: free samples! Cherry granola, ice cream, BoomChunka Cookies, and (of course) chocolate covered cherries! Dislikes: How I feel after eating too much candy :) When I first started going to the Cherry Republic, it was a small one-room building (now their winery!) and how much it has grown is a testament to how great a place it is -- of gifts, a sweet treat, or even dinner. Whenever I have some down time in Glen Arbor my feet often guide me to the Cherry Republic in search of the fantastic free samples in their show room. Thats the first step, but I often find myself staying for the great cherry lemonade or a slice of pie while I use their free WiFi to check my email. Once a year, I also attempt the BoomChunka Monster Sundae challenge -- its a bit of a gut-buster, but its worth it to try all the ice cream flavors at once and get your picture on the wall ;)

Really cool place to visit if youre in the peninsula. They are a little out of the way compared to the other wineries, but certainly worth a visit, especially if you like cherry wine! We visited most recently as part of the Taste the Season event where they served a spicy feta dip with pita bread and veggies, with their balaton cherry wine. There was a new moscato that we tasted and I loved, so I brought a bottle of that home. They also have a store full of samples and things to purchase, and a cafe with coffee and lattes.

All things cherry = Yummy! Everything I got was awesome! Here were a few of my favorites; cherry dark chocolate oatmeal cookies, dark chocolate covered cherries, cherry gummies (kind of like cherry sourpatch kids), Boom Chugga Lugga Soda (my favorite was the black cherry cream soda). Go into the winery to taste the wine and Boom Chugga Lugga soda so you know you are getting a flavor you like! In my opinion this place is not one to miss!

One of my favorite places to visit while in Glen Arbor! Theres nothing like a walk to Cherry Republic in the morning for cherry chocolate coffee. The cherry products are all delicious! There hasnt been one item that Ive tried and not loved! And, what a peaceful setting to sit and enjoy lunch and the beautiful wild flower garden. A true Glen Arbor gem!

Disclosure: Worked here for a few years in high school. The people around this place are passionate and fun. They hold events all summer long to engage the community and make a really honest effort to include cherries in everything! Some people go for that sort of thing, and some hate it. But overall a good place.

Such a great place to explore. Bike rents and park trails were super fun for the family. Arts Tavern has amazing burgers. Cherry Republic was awesome! My preteen and teen had a blast sampling food and sides. My boyfriend and I did wine tasting at Cherry Republic. YUMMY! BEACH WAS BEAUTIFUL!

This place has the best cherry wines on the Lellanau peninsula bar none. We also loved the cherry soda pops, wish I would have bought more. The cherry ginger ale goes great with reislings. We also purchased other cherry foods from their store, the cherry salsa was a favorite of ours.

Probably the best valued food place in Glen Arbor. Service is fast and the food is good and reasonably priced. The stores are great with lots of free samples. If you like cherries then you have to come here! Try out the world championship pit spitting arena!

Cherries, cherries, cherries!!! A really well done group of shops in its own little village. Cherry snacks of course but they also have jams, salsa, sauces, food, ice cream and wine from the area. Great area souvenirs also. The t shirts are great.

Delicious cherry goodness in every conceivable form. Cherry spreads, cherry pie filling, cherry salsa, cherry chocolates, cherry tea, oh my goodness cherry wine, and more. This treasure trove is a real slice of cherry-ful heaven.
