Food was great as always. Unfortunately, thats the one and only thing I can ever count on from this place anymore. The service used to be top notch, however Cracker Barrel as a whole has taken on this whole new "Were not a restaurant anymore, but a server training mill" appearance. Multiple servers (3-star, 4-star, maroon aprons) just only care for their own table and dont look up long enough to see if a customer is in need of assistance. Manager was walking around playing and laughing with the staff instead of paying attention to those who pay her bills. My server, Steve, filled up coffees at the table next to me, but completely ignored the fact that my cup was empty as well. Ive worked in service before, and if you come out to the dining room carrying a coffee pot, you had better be scanning the room for all empty coffee cups in sight. Thats how a place maintains a reputation for being great at customer service. I give up on CB. Ive loved eating here or at locations in other parts of the country for an long as I can remember. Those days are gone. Im spending too much time avoiding certain locations instead of just being able to show up at any one and receive the same service and quality food. There is obviously a breakdown at the Corporate level. These things are obvious when you cant hire and keep a quality staff.

By far the most horrible dining experience I have ever had. I decided to have breakfast there for me and my 2 year old daughter. Service was prompt initially and expected our order shortly, however, this was not the case. We waited for an hour. People that were before and after us had their food and left. To add insult, the waitress came and went to take orders from others but didnt have the decency to check on us. So I asked for the manager to which the waiting period pushed to an hour and a half. So I proceeded to leave with my daughter and thats when the manager finally showed up. She tried to salvage to situation be the damage was already done. Ill try another location because some of the staff lacks quality service.

Food is delicious, Steak n Shake and Bob Evans have better service, and their food is a little bit better. One time, when food was served, they just randomly put my food somewhere else, and lost it, when everyone else was eating, and I was hungry. They asked me " We lost your food and cant find it. Would you like us to cook something else for you?" I wanted my food I was suppose to have, and it took 10 minutes to find it, and I was complaining. If they do this to us again, well drive 30 minutes to the one in Plainfield, when we live only about 5 minutes away from this one. Those people who lost it, I dont know if they are there still or not, but this was back in 2011, so they probably got fired for doing that.

My wife and arrived at the crawfordsville, in. Cracker barrel at 11:00 am.we were seated at 11;10, this was June 30,2014. Our order was placed at 11:13. We didnt receive our food til12:00. Werent told there would be a long wait. When we finally did get our breakfast, we were then told they were out of grits! And we still had to pay full price. We live in crawfordsville, I told the waitress and another employee we probably wouldnt be back. We have eaten at lot of cracker barrel restaurants between in. and Florida, and have always enjoyed it. We have always had great service. Today was a very bad experience at cracker barrel! Well normally my fiancè and I have a great experience here but this time are we didnt even get to the drinks. Our waitress (who did not give her name) just walks up to our table and say what you want to drink? Mind you that was rude but what really put the icing on the cake for this horrible experience was she completely ignore my pregnant fiancè when we gave our drink order. Furious at how she was treated my fiancè got up and walk out before we could even get the drinks.

Was in town for my moms surgery. Went to this Cracker Barrel just to sit and relax and have a nice meal. I was seated promptly given a menu. My waitress was worried about sitting down at a table and talking to customers. She walked past me 5 times and never asked what I wanted to drink or anything. When she w not over and sat down at the guests table I got up and walked out. We eat at them frequently, but I will NEVER step foot in this one again!!

I ordered 3 breakfast meals to-go. I was over charged for one of the meals, and was missing a sausage patty over which the waitress argued with me. I was supposed to get biscuits with 2 of my meals, they were forgotten. AND I ordered skim milk, but received Vitamin D. I went back to get my missing items, which they happily fulfilled, but of course, my food was cold by the time I got to eat it. Pretty disappointing overall.

I had to have the server come to the table 3 times for how poorly the food was made. 1. They burnt my kids burger even the bun. 2. They forgot the biscuits. 3. They served me the wrong entree after coming to the table to tell me 5mins after I ordered that the Rueben was not available due to no meat in house and wouldnt even comp the kids meal. That was like 2 points but DONT GO HERE arbys and McDonalds are right next door

Service was great was here at 7:30 loved the food ate the hershell with sugar ham the hash brown casserole was out of this world! They were so nice even when there was a little burn price of cheese in our macaroni I only gave them a 4 star because it is a fairly common restaurant and I believe that the one extra star is based on how well worth the trip there is

My family and I ordered food from there for to go. Usually everything is okay, but this time we got the food and they put everything in the containers w/ the food. They put the syrup containers with the food and I was upset. I dont know what they couldve done before touching the syrup and butter container and it was touching all of my food which is nasty.

This was our first time at this location. All our food was very good, & my fried eggs were cooked more perfectly than any other place Ive been. My compliments to the cook!! Our particular server ("Neil," a "rising star," per his apron) was also good. Our wait time at 3p on a Sunday wasnt bad at all. Im sure well try it again.

Deija (Im sorry if I spelled that wrong!) was the best server! She made the whole experience amazing and was even nice enough to take our picture afterwards! Everyone was so polite and courteous and I couldnt of asked for better service. The food was absolutely delicious! Thank you for making this a memorable experience ☺️

Usually, this location isnt too bad but weve had a couple of visits where half the restaurant is empty and they are making people wait. This most recent time there was a wait and at least 3 employees seemed to be doing nothing. Not sure why they couldnt wait on a couple tables to reduce wait times.
