I used to love this place until today. They proved to be a FRAUDULENT BUSINESS. Yesterday I went in to buy my groceries and they said that their internet severs were down so they had to take my card and call it in to charge it. I got the notification that my card had been debited immediately - which is fine and fair. Only to be sitting at my desk 10 minutes ago to be DOUBLE CHARGED. I call in and the office manager is oblivious and saying theres no way that could have happened. I am yet to receive a call back. Funny because I hesitated having to give my card to a cashier to call in somewhere - and looks like I was right. I used to love this place and now it truly seems like one huge SCAM. I used to tell everyone about this place and now I will be sure to WARN everyone against it! What a scam!

This is my favorite grocery store in the Detroit area! Their produce is always fresh, their deli is off the charts! They have every cut of meat under the sky and a lot of great already prepared options. I go here for lunch most days because I can buy fresh fruit and a lunch special at the deli which changes every day so Im not eating the same boring thing every day. Everything is fresh and the employees are so helpful. Please try this grocery store and dont be afraid to explore some of the great food that is normally not offered in your average grocery store. Oh and their $5 rotiserie chicken is so good and so cheap its hard for me not to buy one every time I visit.

Have been shopping here for nearly thirty years. My parents bought me Pinatas here as a child for my birthday, and shopping for them was one of the best days of the year. Ive watched them grow from a small shop to a large grocery store, and they deserve every penny of their success. The best Mexican grocery store Ive ever been to, and by far one of the best regular grocery stores as well. Their products are fresh, always incredibly well stocked; the store is clean and the employees are always friendly. Everyone clearly works hard and takes pride in what they do. Every store should be like the Honeybee.

I recently purchased some of their "Honeybee Fresh Thick & Chunky Salsa" fresh salsa. I got it home and it was fiery hot...to the point I can barely eat it. I called the store to ask them if the hot salsa is normally marked as such. The man on the phone said there should be a hot sticker, which there was not, and he didnt sound to care about the mix-up. He didnt apologize and didnt appreciate the feedback. I understand human error but the man on the phone handled the situation poorly. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth in more than one way.

I cant get enough of this place! Better than whole foods! Their salsa and guacamole is to DIE for! I love walking in and seeing the huge assortment of gorgeous fresh fruits and vegetables that you cant find at any other grocery store in Detroit. I always leave satisfied. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I do miss the cakes that they used to sell next to the hot food section though! Cant wait until they open tomorrow!

I love going to Honey Bee. Their guacamole is the best Ive had, and their tortilla chips and tamales are delicious as well. There are about a million types of tortilla to choose from, as well as a good selection of produce and dried beans and ethnic foods. It can also be your one-stop supermarket, though you might pay a little more than at a Meijer, but it is a friendly and lovely supermarket.

I made a special trip here for some corn husks to make tamales. The market is easy to get to, and has great parking. When I walked in I was blown away by the selection--I will have to come back just to take it all in. Prices are good, and they have a take-out counter in back where you can grab something for lunch. I can easily see this becoming a regular excursion.

A SW Detroit institution, probably one of the best kept secrets as far as markets go in Detroit, Im just glad Im in the know. The cherizo and egg breakfast burritos are always good, you can pick up and carry lunch when you gotta eat on the go and they stock more sauces, tortillas and Mexican ingredients than you can shake a stick at.....enjoy ; )

I like this place... I dont think it quite lives up to the hype but its a good place to go from time to time. Fair prices but not really cheap as you might hope for. Vegetarian selection minimal. If I ate more meat products I might like it more. Still, clean, friendly, welcoming to all, and a good enough selection to make it a quality stop

This is the best grocery store in the area. Clean, wonderful service, with fresh produce and meat. Prices on non-food items (i.e. cleaning products, foil, saran wrap) can be a little steep but still a good option over driving out to a Walmart or Meijer. They have an extensive selection of spices and seasonings. Overall a great store.

Great market! and you get premier service from all staff there. And now they offer organics, which is what brought me back. Ive been driving to grosse pointe or troy to get my organics and now I can drive only 5 minutes away! love it. They need to advertise their organics and gluten free foods though. I found out by chance.

In comparison to many of the other Hispanic oriented markets the prices and selections are exaggerated. Its only increased since the migration of predominantly Hispanic familys out of the neighborhood. For people who are unfamiliar or not well versed in the southwest detroit neighborhood it serves as what it is.

OMG this is where you should be shopping when you are going on and on about Detroit not having grocery stores. Get some Guac to start and then cruise around all the fresh vegetables and fill your buggy with the goos stuff. Maybe even get a bag of tamales and a kombucha before you go. Fair Prices, good service!

This is a great place to shop for traditional Mexican ingredients as well as fresh produce, like tomatoes. The herb and dried pepper selection is great. The aisles are well organized and the employees are helpful. If you need awesome guacamole or even a tortilla press, this is the place to go!

Anytime Im downtown I try to shop here. Good prices on high quality Mexican groceries. Excellent gucomole, fresh produce, phomenal meat counter with everything from steak & chicken to tongue & tripe. The have home made hot food counter where the tamales are $8.99 a dozen and are very tasty.

My only complaint about Honey Bee is that its not closer. In my opinion, the best grocery store in the city. Everything is amazingly fresh, theres a huge variety and things youve never even heard of, great prices, and all in a store that I dont have to walk around in for miles.

Cute market, with a big variety of items. Their Tameles are the best around. All of their salsas are fresh and delicious, along with their chips. They have breakfast burritos every morning, until they sell out. They are amazing. My new favorite Mexican food, in Southeast MI
