Last Wednesday I stopped by the Birmingham store to have the battery replaced in my electric toothbrush. According to the website "Stop in a Batteries Plus Store and have a new battery installed. Every Batteries Plus Store is equipped with an on-site tech center powered by a battery professional capable of rebuilding, assembling and installing new batteries to replace worn out battery packs. Our trained associates can build batteries for all kinds of products," The battery has to be soldered in and I figured it was worthwhile to pay someone who knows what they were doing, rather than spending $100 for an exact replacement. As soon as I showed the Oral B toothbrush to the manager he replied "That is junk, just throw it away. There is no way to fix that." in a not very friendly tone. For his information, it is not junk. I was able to purchase the Sanyo replacement battery from Amazon for $12, and following the instructions from the vendor it took me about 20 minutes to disassemble the toothbrush and replace the battery, It is the first time I tried soldering anything electronic, so you can guess the degree of difficulty with this project. The toothbrush works like new! Thank you Batteries+ for your deep expertise.

Took my samsung 5 for a cracked screen repair. HUGE MISTAKE!!! PHONE WORKED FOR A FEW DAYS WHILE ON 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY. IT STOPPED WORKING. TOOK IT BACK. THE FIRST THING I WAS ASKED IS "WHAT DID YOU DO TO IT". Not what i wanted to hear. They took a look at it told me i needed a new phone. I then took my phone to ubreakifix. They did a free diagnostic which batteries plus doesnt offer. I was told not only did they use a non-samsung replacement screen they destroyed my phone making the repair. The display board connection was damaged and the home button cable was folded and damaged the screen was never properly seated in the case of phone. Ubreakifix could not repair the damage they did. Ive been trying to resolve this with corporate batteries plus. Have gotten the run around from them and the store owner for two weeks. If i want any resolution going to have to go to small claims court. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! BUYER BEWARE!! WENT THERE BECAUSE THEY WERE CHEAPER. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. TAKE YOUR PHONE FOR REPAIR TO UBREAKIFIX RIGHT DOWN THE STREET IN ROYAK OAK.

I purchased a car battery there. The owner is very knowledgeable to batteries. I brought a dead battery out of a VW GTI. The store online database says my model uses BCI group 47. He brought a group 47 battery and it was smaller than my old battery. Then he took a group 48 battery(next larger size) and it matched the original battery size. It was found out that BCI group size is maximum dimension and an actual battery could be smaller than that. Thats how group 47 battery was specified for my VW GTI but actual battery could be smaller than the size which group 47 dictates. If I did not go to the Batteries Plus Blub store, I may have ended in having smaller battery. I appreciate his knowledge and service to find correct fit battery.

Batteries Plus of Birmingham has some of the best customer service you can find. I went in to get a car remote/fob fixed and they greeted me the moment I walked into the store. I showed them the car remote and they said it looked in rough shape but thought it could be fixed. Tom worked for about 15 minutes soldering it back together and in the end it looked like new again. I was given a new battery and was on my way, spending much less money than if I went to other stores in the area AND was told they back their repair if anything were to go wrong. I would recommend Batteries Plus of Birmingham to anyone who enjoys excellent and friendly service on top of good prices.

I brought in my 18V cordless drill/saw battery to be rebuilt and the rebuilt battery has increased amp hour rating by 20% and it cost much less than a new replacement battery. I also purchased two batteries for my cordless phones and their amp hour rating is also increased over the original battery and they had the batteries in stock. Price was good especially when the replacement battery has increased amp hour rating (storage capacity). It is comforting to know that BP cordless phone batteries are manufactured by Rayovac a quality battery manufacture we can trust. Thank you Batteries Plus, keep up the good work.

Pretty negative. Got email telling me that battery was in, so drove several miles to pick it up -- and it was not there. Was told that emails are sent out automatically, and dont mean that the battery is REALLY there...? But I was told that the truck was due "any minute." Luckily I elected not to wait, because it was 2 hours before I was called -- twice in two minutes -- to tell me that it was in. So I drove several miles again to pick it up, and waited 15 minutes for the staff to find the battery.... which was sitting next to the cash register.... I think your processes need some work!

I stopped in to BatteriesPlus to buy a camera battery thinking their prices should be competitive being that they specialize in selling only batteries. I was running errands and had to stop at Target next while there I looked to see if they happened to have the same battery I just bought. They did and it was $7.00 cheaper, of course BatteriesPlus does not allow returns on camera batteries...hum I wonder why that is. Bottom line it appears to be a clip joint; stay away.

Ask for a certain size battery. Received the battery. Asked the employee if he had a tool that would open the back of my dive computer puck. He said yes. Before I could say anything he used a pocket type knife to open the back of the computer. Totally scratched and gouged it. He should have said no I dont have a tool, but I have this knife instead of being a hack. Really. I surely didnt appreciate that, and certainly wont be back there.

I needed a phone charger, and I called around to Wireless Toys and Radio Shack thinking one of them would be reasonable. My charger cost $25 at both places!! So I called Batteries Plus and asked if they carry my charger. Not only did they carry it, but it only cost $10!!! Mike was very helpful, and made sure the charger worked before I paid for it. Thanks a ton guys!!!!

Went to park at dream cruise and they attempted to call the police on us if we didnt leave there 3 spots that are for their store. It got late at night cops never came so they started blocking off 6 spots and blocked two cars from getting out. Which one of them was a $200,000 Car. I recommend not going in and trust me youll get mean people talking to you. Waste of time.

The owners of the store are ALWAYS so helpful. We have been shopping there for years. We just ran in to pick up a converter/adaptor for my daughter who is leaving for a month for Greece. They gave her a small flashlight "to find her way home" as a goodbye gift and made her promise to bring pictures. If you dont go there you are missing a great experience.

I was parked next door at the restaurant eating my dinner and this old fart comes out from the Batteries plus Bulbs place and puts a barrel in front of my car, claiming I was parked on his property and he was going to call the cops on me. He was a completely rude man. Turns out hes the owner. Obviously doesnt know how to treat people. Dont shop here.
