After visiting the Henkel Auto Group I posted a message on Facebook letting everyone know what had happened at the dealership. Heres the deal : one of the salesmen at the dealership was overridden on a decision to allow myself and my wife to take the vehicle overnight to get a good feel for what we were looking at buying. When I picked the test drive up the guy was a jerk. I chalked it up to him having a bad day or being upset about someone telling him that we could take it overnight even though he apparently didnt want us to. I took it to a trusted shop in the area to have an inspection done on it. When I brought it back to him very early the next day, I told him that it wasnt for us because of the amount of things that were wrong with it. This test drive that Henkel already claimed that they went through and fixed had bad front tires, bad front rotors, a leaking power steering pump at the rack and more rust on the under carriage than I ever could have imagined. The rust was so bad in fact my thumb went through it when I gently pushed on it. Moreover, the A/C wasnt very cold and it kind of smelt musty when the air vent was on. That being said, my wife and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and wanted to check out another vehicle. I asked the salesman Mark Dykeman if I could test drive another specific vehicle (nothing fancy, just a minivan) whereby he replied with "Well well need to pull your credit before I can just let you drive another one." I told him that I didnt want to have my credit pulled as I didnt want it to affect my credit score by having a bunch of hits show up on it. He then replied with "then I guess you dont want to go for a drive". This is a crooked sales practice that attempts to obligate consumers like myself to purchase a vehicle from the dealer that runs their credit. Theres probably some type of statistic behind the theory, but thats not my area of expertise, so I couldnt speak to that. However, after we left I called the general manager and didnt get too far with him, so I decided to post the below text on my Facebook page letting my friends know what had happened. Surprisingly enough, there were three other people that were either jerked around by this guy or were sold a shotty vehicle. Included with my post was a picture of the guy (Mark Dykeman) and posted it to their Facebook page, only to have it removed within the hour. And though I expressed my concerns to the General Manager about the crooked sales practices and lack of customer service; I got the feeling that he didnt do anything about it, but rather maybe joked about it over a cigarette and cup of coffee. If the picture loaded then you should be able to see the guy that we dealt with sitting behind the desk. I pulled the photo off of their website to show the world who this jerk is. Good luck shopping and stay away from Henkel Stinkle Auto Group! FACEBOOK POSTING: ATTENTION EVERYONE*** Mark at Henkel Auto Group (the old a**hole behind the desk) was so rude that I will NEVER be shopping for a vehicle at this dealership again. Courtney and I test drove a Dodge Grand Caravan that turned out to be a piece of crap and when we took it back, Mark (A.K.A. "The A**hole") said that he wouldnt let us test drive another vehicle without doing a credit check first. Just another dis-honest salesman. Thanks again j**k-off and I wont be referring any of the 563 friends on Facebook to you or your dealership! -Christian

Went there after having troubles at my local dealers in Kalamazoo. Debated on going to Henkle a few days prior but due to weather put it off which I shouldve went here first! Great prices and comfortable setting! My first car buying expirence was looking gloomy at first until I went here! Salesman Rich was not arrogant, not cocky, not pushy and honest. Made the whole process smooth and easy. When closing on my sale weather was bad agin, go figure with Michigan and Rich again was understanding and assured me the sale was still going through. The finance manager (cant remember the name) was great too. Looked for better rates even to ensure a great deal. Didnt push anything extra made the paper work hassle free! I bought a 2015 Jeep Patriot, car was clean and ready to go when I got there gave them my John Hancock and was on the road instantly. I am recommending ANYONE who is in the search for a car to come here!

Just drove an hour and a half to look at and bought a nice used Chrysler Town And Country van at a fair price. Dealt with a man named Rich. I really appreciated his sincerity and honesty and would recommend the Henkel Auto group to anyone . I read a few negative comments about Henkel on this site and would say theyre probably "baloney". Im sure Henkel doesnt always get it right but in my experience, they would not knowingly misrepresent any vehicle without making it right. After all , they would not have grown to be a significant car dealership without the integrity, honesty, and professionalism that I experienced there. I would shop there again.

Bought two vehicles now from Mark. First one was a Trailblazer in 2009 that took us well over 100,000 miles and on numerous road trips. Our first buying experience was great, and our latest was just as stress free and uncomplicated. They gave us a bigger trade-in than we were expecting, were super nice, worked hard to get us the best possible financing, and we drove home in a great new Jeep for a lower price than wed seen on comparable vehicles at other dealerships. We never felt pressured to look outside our budget, and everybody was super friendly. Well continue to buy used cars from them in the future.

Yesterday I went in to test drive a couple vehicles. During this time an employees child was walking around in a diaper with no shoes on. After the test drive I asked for a business card and the employee gave me someone elses card with their information handwritten on the back. The following day I decided to make an offer over the phone. They told me they would call me back 20 minutes later and after waiting 6hrs I called them instead. Not very professional and low quality costumer service.

Good Luck with the service department...any question you ask will be greeted with skepticism and an argument. Apparently their stance is customer is always wrong unless you can twist their arm into doing their job. They pushed the Jeep Wave program and yet they seem hate having to honer it...go figure. They are receiving 1 star until they can train their employees to have respect for their customers.

My internet contact was Melissa and she was quick to respond and get me in the door. My salesman in person was Dan. He is a car enthusiast and has the same challenger that I purchased except for the color. He was fast and made the process painless. They were great! I highly recommend them. If only I got another set of back tires thrown in for free since I seem to burning a lot of rubber.

Purchased a used vehicle that was supposedly in excellent condition. The vehicle broke down two weeks after purchasing it. Ended up having to pay $600 for the repairs. Vehicle is still not right. I would not purchase from Henkel, if you do, make sure you get a Car Fax report AND have the vehicle checked out by a reliable mechanic.
