I am from out of town and mother lives in Ann Arbor. She passed away on a Friday. My sister and I were a bit distraught - my mother loved flowers. We showed up at University Flower Shop on a Monday w/ services scheduled for a Wednesday. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. The lady there was very nice, compassionate. She asked us what we thought we wanted, what types of flowers were my mothers favorites and let us know what colors she was thinking of using. The arrangements that showed up on Wednesday were so tasteful and lovely. I kept thinking that my mother would have loved those arrangements. Plus, the lady at the flower shop told us that we would be able to enjoy them for a week, and indeed, they continued to bloom for almost ten days. I would absolutely trust them again with another major event in my life.

I was on a limited budget ($20) for a Mothers Day bouquet, and they did a beautiful job! I think it had 6 carnations and a few tulips, which I thought was a great price for a flower shop as nice as this one. I ordered over the phone, and picked them up the next afternoon. I kept them in the fridge for the evening and presented them to mom the next day and they were perfect. Perhaps this person whose blooms wilted did not store them properly. The flowers will die if they are exposed to extreme cold (like around Valentines Day here), or heat. They need to be very carefully covered, protected and stored somewhere cool. I would definitely order here again. It was just a little hard to find parking to run in to pick up my flowers, since its in a busy place.

The University Flower shop are lifesavers! Wonderful, warm, friendly, talented, mind-reading lifesavers! Danielle was amazing from the start! She was incredibly kind and knew all of the right questions to ask. She was really patient with us. She also had really great suggestions and was able to find a way to give us what we wanted within our budget. She also was incredibly professional and we were able to figure most details out well in advance leaving us stress-free and meeting all of our needs. Overall I really enjoyed working with Danielle and Im so glad we found her! and her wonderful flower shop. I could not be happier and would recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful florals for any occasion!

Gwen did my bouquet for my late june wedding a few years ago and they were wonderfully beautiful. She was so nice, patient, and worked with me to make me the bouquet of my dreams. Another florist did the flowers for my reception, but after seeing my bouquet I instantly regretted the decision not to have all my flowers done with UFS, the flowers were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted (even though they were out of season flowers and I had come in relatively last minute a few weeks before my wedding). They were reasonably priced and she is just so courteous and friendly that I have to recommend this flower shop to anyone looking for peace of mind and attention to detail!

Everyone raved about the flowers--from the boutonnieres to the table flowers for the party, everything was imaginatively arranged and beautifully presented! 4 days later, most everything is still fresh and lovely. I gave her free rein and she put together 6 attendant bouquets--each one different yet each with similarities--and my bouquet (bride) was incredibly lovely. The perfect size, casual yet classy and the perfect blend of white and purple flowers. She ran several different scenarios and respected our budget constraints. Dani is very easy to talk to, has lots of great ideas and will give you such fabulous flowers that nobody will remember anything else!

I recently called University Flower Shop to inquire about scheduling a meeting to discuss flowers for my wedding. When I told the woman who had answered the phone when my wedding was (in 4.5 mos), she replied, "Well, youve waited until the last minute havent you?" in a snarky tone. Even if that is the case (which, I doubt youd call this last minute and the florist I ended up selecting didnt seem to think so), how rude!!

I recently made a purchase for my moms b-day through university flower shop and the flowers that arrived were beautiful. I asked for simple and classic and they took the liberty to make a gorgeous and classic arrangement. They are a LOCAL flower shop...no ftd florists there. And I will def. be using them in the future. I came in looking for a last minute arrangement for the same evening, and I was initially told that all arrangements were done in advance, but the nice florist made me an amazing bouquet on the spot! It was exactly what I needed, the recipient loved it, and the price was well worth the quality. Thank you University Flower Shop, highly recommended!

I purchased valentines day flowers here and they were way over-priced and of extremely poor quality. When the price per rose is $8, they should not be dying within 24 hours. When I called and left a message stating what happened they didnt even call back. Kroger has better quality flowers for 1/4 of the price. Buy there!

I needed flowers at the last minute for a ballet recital. I checked online, walked across campus and arrived at 1:40pm on a Saturday. The door was locked but the light was on, no sign on the door. I called the shop and got voicemail which said normal Saturday hours were 10-2. I waited around but nobody showed. Disappointed.

Our rehearsal dinner flowers were so elegant and lovely. Exactly what we wanted! Gwen was great to work with even though it was long distance. The shop was so professional with delivery and set up. The flowers still looked amazing two days later at a brunch. I highly recommend University Florist. It was a great experience.

Best place to go for flowers and unique gifts in Ann Arbor! Staff is always friendly and willing to work with any budget.
