I ordered a $70 (+$10 delivery fee) Peace Lily for a 11am funeral at the Nie Family Funeral home on Liberty in Ann Arbor. I arrived early to see if the plant had arrived (it hadnt). I spoke to one of the funeral home employees and he asked had I looked in the entire sanctuary because they place arrangements thruout the room, after doing this (with the employee) the plant was not there. A female employee asked for my name (I gave her my receipt) she said she would call and find out where it was. She came back (mind you the ceremony hadnt started yet) she came back and informed me that they (Thrifty) had or was taking it to the Capenter location but they would be there (Liberty) shortly. The funeral was over about 12:15ish I approached the same female and asked where was the plant because I wanted to make sure the family received it. We looked in their flower room (nothing was brought in the sanctuary during the ceremony) and the plant was still not found. On my way back home to Warren MI I phoned Thrifty myself (12:20p) and the female that answered (I believe she said her name was Carla) she said she would check into it and call me back. She called back within minutes and informed me that the plant had been delivered 10 minutes ago (which would have been when the ceremony was ending). I called the funeral home but an answering service answered took my information and Im still waiting on a callback. Horrible experience on a heartbreaking day, I would not recommend this location to anyone. Ever.

Do not order from this store! Ordered flowers for Valentines Day to be sent to a place of business. When I learned they werent delivered by 5pm and the business was closed, I called the store and asked them to be re-routed to a home address instead. The store told me, "well we cant do that, I dont have the information for your order, the delivery person does...I said you cant call them and let them know?" She stated "no" I then asked her if she could at least change the address in the computer for the delivery, she said "no I dont have access"...really?!! So I asked what did she advised me to do? and she said "call back in an hour". I politely responded and asked her if she could call me back instead...she took my information and I did not hear back. The day after Valentines day the flowers still had not been delivered, even though the store said they make 2 attempts at delivery. I called the corporate office and was told that a second delivery was never attempted and she wasnt sure why?! I requested a refund and told her about my TERRIBLE customer service experience. Do not order from Carpenter Rd. Store!

First let me say, that the post previous to mine are correct to an extent- on the whole the staff of this Thrifty Florist are pretty awful. They are rude, unhelpful and do not seem to care about your business. HOWEVER, their wedding consultant Mary is the exception to this and she absolutely wonderful! My advise-deal with Mary and only Mary. She is available by phone and email and went out of her way to give me the most beautiful wedding bouquets Ive ever seen. I was truly blown away on my wedding day when the flowers arrived as they were so much larger and more beautiful than i could have imagined! They were very fresh and even came with vases to put the flowers in at the reception. Mary was simply a delight and she truly went above and beyond for us. I would HIGHLY recommend her wedding services!

Can not believe how rude the women who work at Thrifty Florist were to me today. As I was standing in line, I was asked by one of the two women who were standing around doing nothing if I needed help, in a tone that basically sounded like I was bothering them. I had one woman roll her eyes at me while she literally threw my credit card receipt at me, and another make me feel like I was intruding upon her to make my flower arrangement. Isnt that your job? I must say that in this poor economy and knowing that flowers are something that we need not spend our little bit of extra money on, you would expect much better service than that. I personally will NEVER step foot in this store ever again, and I would recommend that no one else does either.

I ordered 4 days in advanced. On the day of delivery I called to check the status. They said the flower truck had not come in with fresh flowers yet. The truck didnt arrive until late afternoon and my flowers wee not delivered. The manager said she would send them out the next morning and make them bigger. However she neglected to tell me that the case would change from a Mason jar to a different vase. To top it all off they were delivered to the wrong location. Once received they looked NOTHING like what I ordered. Normally I would shrug something off like this. However, this is how I asked my friends to be bridesmaids in my wedding. The arrangement I picked out was to reflect the theme/style of my wedding. I am beyond disappointed

I would rate lower if I could. I went to the shop a week before Valentines day to arrange for them to do the flowers for my wedding. I was told I would get a call a few days after Valentines Day when things settled down. I called on the 28th and was told that they had a few people above me, and it would be just a bit longer. I called last Friday and received a lot of attitude and told that I would receive a return call in "just a few more days". I wanted to be polite but now, after waiting almost a month for a call, I dont want to think about how long it will take them to reach out to me. Ive since met with several other florists and booked elsewhere.

I like to buy my girlfriend roses often, so I will goto florist pretty often. I drove by and thought I stop by on the way home. Parking lot didnt have lines so it was like free for all for parking. When I walked in, I got a warm welcome, and the inside looked clean. Lady asked me what I wanted, when I told her a rose, she walked me over and showed me the roses, which didnt seem appealing to me or her so she broke out one of the dozen ones and picked one out for me. After I left, the roses was VERY small compare to ones I get... looked even worse when she put it in the base with the others. Overall I liked the people but the product just wasnt there.

My son and daughter-in-law were married last weekend and Thrifty Florist provided all the flowers for the wedding. We couldnt have been happier with every aspect of their business; from choosing the flowers for the bouquets, to the table flowers, delivery, and set up. Everything was beautiful and considering all the details you have to do for a wedding, this was by far the easiest detail. The staff was wonderful to work with and followed through with every promise they made. I recommend using Thrifty Florist for any event you need flowers for.
