Im going to start off by saying it is expensive, but its worth the price. First thing I noticed about this store was the awesome friendly and helpful staff who had no problem giving me a verbal tour of the city (I dont know Michigan or Ann Arbor well at all yet). The second thing I noticed was the huge assortment of awesome stuff that they seem to keep heavily stocked. My girlfriend and I ended up leaving with a shirt with a moose sporting shades and some extremely functional toe socks that I never would have known existed. I wouldnt come here bargain hunting but if you are looking for performance hiking, climbing, trekking or even just walking gear I cant suggest this place enough. There is free parking not too far away every Sunday, so plan it out if you dont live nearby.

Moosejaw is great, but Mary (the store manager) is even better. Every time Ive gone in there she has provided service above and beyond any similar store in the area. Shes great with questions, recommendations, and getting you rung up and out the door with 0 inconvenience. You cant really complain about price, they will match anything you can find locally or online so you might as well support a local business (especially now that amazon charges sales tax). Overall the store is small but they are willing to bring in anything from their website so you can check it out before you buy. I cant speak highly enough about this place .... just go there.

The staff at moosejaw are the absolute best! Any time I stop in it easily becomes one of my favorite parts of my day. Theyre super helpful, friendly, playful, and silly. Theres a lot to do in the store while shopping including swinging on their swing, doing the pull up challenge, checking out the tv-turned-aquarium, and whatever cool temporary thing they have going on at the front that week. The products are great and easy to return if need be.

I had bought a nice backpack from them, which I used everyday for over a year. Eventually busted the zipper. I went in to buy a new bag. I offhandly mentioned the busted bag to the sales clerk as an example of what I was looking for. Had a new bag in hand, ready to make a purchase, when the sales clerk informed me that my old bag had lifetime warranty. Brought the old bag in and got it repaired in under a week. Good stuff, awesome staff.

Super pleasant and friendly staff. Very easy to interact with and joke around with. Felt like I knew them for awhile. Had another option for a product I was looking for that was not in stock and made sure I left the store happy. Would drive to Ann Arbor from Illinois just to go to this store again (maybe a bit of an exaggeration).

i have not even made my purchase yet and i can tell you that this is a really ... seriously ... cool company ... it is worth the effort just to call or visit them ... they ( incidentally ) happen to also carry lots of great outdoor gear @ totally fair prices ... this company and its employees are a hoot ! ...

So much cool outdoor stuff here. If you love the outdoors then you must visit this store. Clothes, shoes, hiking stuff, camping items, water bottles, hammocks, etc ect ect. This store is in a great location downtown. The employees are friendly and very knowledgeable.

I like Moosejaws online offerings and service. The physical store is cramped and has very limited selection. Also they dont really do much by way of sales. I recommend just shopping online but maybe pop in to try on a jacket or something physically first.

I went into the store wanting to buy a full set of backpacking gear. They were very knowledgeable about the gear they were selling, and they let me test all of the gear out in the store! If you have BCBS medical insurance you can get a discount as well.

Im a fan of the madness! You get the same selection and service of some of the larger national outdoors sports retail chains, but more fun. Hilarious twitter feed and enjoyable emails. Plus, they have some great deals. Check their website for sales.

If I had to pick between this and the Birmingham store, itd be a difficult choice. Everyone who works here is always happy to be here and greets everyone with a smile. Theyre incredibly knowledgeable about the gear they sell too!

A2 Moosejaw is the bees knees. Staff is always friendly, helpful with questions and will give you an honest, thoughtful opinion on gear. Always some sort of special discount going on, and to top it off, they have a swing. Yes.

The draw string on my rain coat broke off from inside the hood. I dropped by the store with my receipt and they exchanged the jacket for a new one in under a minute. Great service, great store!
