Lost our business! today my family and I took a trip to the PTO Thrift shop and we were ready to buy a small white cabinet. I asked a man about it and he was writing up a slip for us ready to hold until we were finished looking, then my husband walked up and the man suddenly says oh actually I think this was actually being held for someone... mind you there was no sold or pending sign on this at the time or other notes on the furniture stating it was being held. We have an interracial white/asian family and it was VERY VERY obvious it was once he saw my husband that the sale was denied! this is unacceptable!!!! Will be reporting as racism should not be used while conducting a business to turn people away. We were then told that if they didnt come by the end of the day that we could buy it, then I asked well could it be put on hold so we can pick up if they didnt, we were told no. Someone else then came up and asked about it(the same item mind you!!!) and they were allowed to put the item on hold.. how is this right???? happened in front of our 4 yr old who also took notice of this happening. We will not be back here and definitely spreading the word about you guys. RUDE AND RACIST.. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I am sickened by this and no one should be treated like this at any business. Update: received an email from them and they basically excuse the way we were treated just by watching a video with no sound.. although they came through to hold the item we looked at we ended up not bothering with it as we do not believe in giving or business to someone who treated us so poorly and excuses racism toward Asian/interracial families. Their email stated that this employee was super nice well your precious snow flake was not nice to us, holding items for others right in front of us after telling us no! We didnt get equal service so I am sorry but we are not changing our review.

The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop is one of my favorite thrift shops in Ann Arbor. They clean the place well and have a good selection of things. They dont seem to have very many mens clothing, but other than that there is everything from records and CDs to furniture (tons of it). The PTO The PTO Thrift Shop is the cheapest thrift store Ive been to in Ann Arbor other than the Reuse Center. Depending on the item of course, but the two are comparable. But you tend to find nicer things at the PTO Thrift Shop as there are less people there. The Reuse center is highly picked over. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because of their electronics return policy. They test all electronics which is nice, but they offer NO returns on items because they have deemed them working. This is fine for some simpler things, but they cant possibly have tested everything on every item. I am always afraid that I will buy something and a function of it will not work. Other than that, this place is fantastic and the workers are usually pretty nice.

Before you purchase any sofa or love seat please measure youre space carefully or youll be left hearing no refund or exchanges. Purchased a love seat and sofa, the love seat fit perfectly through the door, the couch didnt fit no matter how many attempts the movers tried. Called the manager from the store no refund or exchanges, but I was offered a partial refund (she said she was being generous). I asked if I could send it back to the store, they will only hold it for three days, and they charge you another $35 to redeliver it. If not picked up in the three days, it goes back on the floor for the same amount. I would not recommend this place.

Not fond of the general prices on clothing items instead of individual price tags. (Its cool to buy a second hand shirt that was $50 new, but not so much when youre paying the same for a shirt that was $6 new.) The bright side is they do have good sales. Its also fairly clean and organized as far as thrift shops go. I like that they give you "chips" to donate towards different causes at different schools. They test the majority of their electronic devises before putting on the floor which gives me that small piece of confidence I need when buying. Will continue to shop there and would recommend to others.

I used to love going here, but the service and shop as a whole has really taken a turn for the worst. The prices used to be so reasonable. Now everything is marked way up and there is so much damaged and stained merchandise for sale. I understand this is resale, but some items should not be sold in their shoddy condition. Also, last week when I donated a box of items, I had a very rude encounter with the staff member on duty. I was quite taken aback by her attitude. I also purchased one item and had an equally rude experience with the cashier. Theyve lost my business for good.

“Yesstyle is a great online website to binge shop on Asian clothing because of its cheap price, but beware that the quality can be poor too! It is either a hit or miss, so be sure to read the reviews because they are very helpful in determining whether the item is of good quality. ALSO, the sizing is mostly one size, so be sure to check the measurements before purchasing an item. Asians are small. One thing I disliked it that I had to split my order in two in order to get my items quicker. One s...”

My absolute favorite thrift store in the area. I have found some serious great finds here. They are particular about what you donate, but understandably so, they are a non-profit and have to keep costs low, they dont have the time or the resources to sort out and despose of ripped/broke trash. The staff is always friendly. Their pricing system is genius! The store is always clean. Seriously my favorite store in town!

Recently made several donations to various places like salvation army and here. This was without a doubt the rudest place about us dropping off a donation. It was as if we were bothering them by wanting to give them free stuff. We do always find things to buy when we go inside but each visit feels like it might not be worth going again. Would recommend checking at least once.

Sometime has good things but mostly just cheap crap that someone else didnt want so they gave it to this place. The are pricy when it comes to bed sheets, curtains, and furniture, seen things there used that I could buy new cheaper. Not the best resale shop in Ann Arbor, I would say Salvation Army or Reuse it Center are better choices.

My favorite thrift shop! Get there on Sunday, and all clothing with a certain tag color is just 50ct.! Name brands galore! Great deals on household items to jewelry. Its a store thats fun to browse.Try it; I think youll be pleased. Friendly staff, unique inventory, and support of the AAPS make this a fun and worthwhile place to shop.

Great for arts and craft supplies, occasional good finds in jewelry and clothes. Today was amused by whomever priced and labeled the furniture. For instance, came across decepticon work desk (because it opens up to twice its size) and shiny happy coffee table (bright white laminate). Gave me a nice chuckle
