This was the 2nd time I drove out of my way to visit this store and I must say I should have never went back the 2nd time. The staff is not very pleasant and if you buy any glassware they seem to get a little aggravated and do not even offer to wrap it they just piled it all in a box unwrapped. If you do decide to go here you may be tempted to walk up to their very long counter to check out seeing there are no signs stating where the line should start and even if nobody is in line if you stand in front of the counter waiting to be acknowledged they will look at you like your stupid and ignore you before telling you rudely that the line is all the way at the end of the jewelry counter. They made me look like I was very stupid for not knowing this and when I inquired if they had a sign I was missing that states where the line starts they will tell you no and agree with you that there should be. Unfortunately I will not be back to this location.

I like good clothes: L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer, etc. This store has a huge selection of name brand and other well made clothing for children and adults, plus they have furniture, appliances, and all kinds of household items. Theres always a sale going on: on top of the already fantastic prices. And if youre a senior or a college student come in on Wed. or Thurs., respectively, to get another discount. The actual price of clothing items is between $2 and $4. My calculations say between 1/20 to 1/10 of retail price. I once paid $30 for a long, insulated Lands End coat that was well over $300 retail. I never saw another clothing item even close to that. There are big/tall mens and plus size womens sectiions. And so important, the people who work there are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They make the store all the good things that it is. See what you think of it!

I made a purchase using my debit card and was overcharged by an inept cashier. The normal refund policy is to issue a merchandise credit. I spoke with "Michael" who was very reluctant to refund me my money, but said he would process a check to me. I am still waiting for a check three and a half weeks later. The error was on the part of their cashier, not me. Refunds such as this should be made straight from the cash register instead of making people jump through these hoops. I wonder if I will actually receive a refund.

BEST place for men who wear size 9 shoes!!! This place has a really great selection of mens clothes and accessories; Especially mens shoes size 9. Im unfortunately an 11, but there is someone in ann arbor who drops off really nice Mens size 9 leather dress shoes every other month. I always see them there and am sooo jealous. *Had to bump this place to a 3 star because the bathroom is absolutely atrocious. No doors on the stalls, smells awful, and in desperate need of a paint job. *

This place is really large compared to the one in the small town Im from. Some of the items do seem overpriced but are still less than mall prices. You also have to take into consideration that it is located in Ann Arbor, and a lot of hipsters shop there so they can get away with adding a few bucks more. The address is state street but gps will not direct you to the parking lot entrance on Stimson street. It will direct you to a nursery in front of the building.

Great selection and prices. Fitting rooms are very dusty. Look up while in them and you can see thick layers of dust and spiderwebs. Long line at checkout. Clothing is not in size order, but by color. Why not both? Cashier was not personable and when I asked about daily deals told me there were a million of them and I could read the deals on the white board behind me. I did. There were not a million.

Next best thing if Kiwanis is closed. More expensive and harder to find things but the place is huge. Humongous. Very large. XXXL. You get the drift. Everything is organized by color. So if you are looking for a specific size, its going to take a very long time to find something. Very long. So take a lunch with you. They do have some couches to sit on in the back so you can take a break.

I hate to say it.. but thrift is suppose to help people who do not have that much money and, this particular one is more expensive because of its location in Ann Arbor.. who the hell do they think they are NYC 5th Ave store or something... it is rediculous. and remember folks this stuff is USED! i have no issue with used but they need to be for less money then. yeayh...way to help the poor..

This Salvation Army is one of the best in the area. I have been to EVERY SA in Southeast Michigan. The prices are VERY reasonable in relation to other thrift stores. I have found countless high-end handbags, wallets, homegoods, clothing, etc. there for a pittance. You may be paying "walmart prices", but you dont find Longchamp, vintage Coach, and LL Bean at walmart, you get crap.

I go to this Salvation Army fairly often. They seem to always have sales on already discounted prices and a great selection compared to other thrift shops. The staff is always nice and working hard to keep everything put back on the rack to keep from turning into a mess. I usually walk out with a giant bag (of clothing) for a great price. I would recommend this store to anyone!

The clothing here is well organized and color coordinated. I admire the dedication that the staff has to keeping things tidy here. Theres a large selection of used furniture and decorations as well, since this is a decently big Salvation Army. The parking lot here is falling apart (01/2017), and some of the staff seemed a bit grumpy -- granted we were there near closing time.

Used to be my favorite thrift store in the world. Went in a few days ago after having not being in in a few months. What happened to prices? Talk about overpriced. I had never seen used shoes marked above $24.99 until a few days ago. Electronics were overpriced too. Dont know what happened. On the positive, they have pretty friendly staff and large selection.

This is my favorite and go-to thrift store for clothes in the area! It takes some serious commitment to digging, but you can find GOLD here. I love that one color tag is 50% off and one is 25% everyday! I only wish the dressing rooms were less nasty and that there wasnt a rule against bringing in carts since my baby needs somewhere to sit while I try things on...

It a decent resale shop, they offer different discounts on each day of the week for veterans, seniors, or students. This place offers clothes, house hold items such as dishes, cookware, furniture, and electronics. They also have new mattresses but I would suggest that you stay away from them, I bought one once and it develop craters after 3 months of use.
