Update-8/22/15: I have changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars. I received a call a couple weeks ago from David Rotman, who had seen my online reviews(at this point, my furniture is 4 years old). He was very upset about the way I was treated and the quality of the furniture. He sent a technician out this week to look at it to see what could be done. Upon reviewing the pictures of it, they decided it was not something that could be repaired. They offered me a full store credit to choose another set. I was totally floored, talk about a full 360 in customer service! We went in today to choose our new sofa and loveseat and were helped by Deb. She spent a lot of time with us and was so very helpful and knowledgeable. We chose a replacement set and they waived the delivery charge and will be removing the old furniture when they deliver the new. We are very pleased and will now be recommending Rotmans to our friends. Thank you David and Deb! Original review: Purchased a leather sofa and loveseat from Rotmans in June of 2011. When we set them up, I noticed the top of hinged storage compartment was loose and falling off. Called and they sent someone out to fix it. I spoke with the repairman when he arrived, saying I preferred a new, not a repaired, loveseat, since I paid for a new piece. He convinced me to keep it saying it would be more sturdy with his repair than a new one, which I believe is true, since after 2 years it is still working. I noticed after having the set a little under 2 years the color was wearing off in areas between the cushions where they rub together on both the sofa and loveseat. Then the color actually started flaking off on the top of the cushions. The set was supposed to be leather in all the seating areas, not bonded leather, not top grain leather, but all leather. We bought this set to match a recliner we had purchased (elsewhere) a few years earlier. The leather on the recliner, which is now 7 or 8 years old, is still in perfect condition. Called Rotmans, not really expecting them to do much after 2 years, and my expectations were met. They gave me the name of a repairman. I suggested they stop selling this furniture since it is poor quality and there will be more complaints to follow. No apologies, I guess their furniture is only meant to last 2 years.

Run as fast as you can away from Rotmans! I went last week to buy a bedroom set and was told multiple times by Alan Mzarik to go to Bobs Discount Furniture Store because I couldnt afford it at Romans. Then showed me an expensive bedroom set and said "but this bedroom set is to expense for you". All this in the first 5 minutes of my being there. I had come from the gym and so was not looking my best. However, I had plenty of money to spend. Alan was rude, argumentative, disrespectful and condescending. And the bed I was interested in last week cost in the $800s and when I went back on Sunday they had jacked the price up to over $2,000 for the same bed but then discounted it by 60% and guess what, it was still more expensive than it was last week. It was over $1,000 for the same bed I saw last week. They are nothing but crooks. Oh, and my horrible experience continued on Sunday when I went there to look at the bedroom set and was told by the bedroom department manager Barbara, that I wouldnt have to worry about ever running into Alan there, guess what, I ran into Alan. The rest of my experience at Rotmans was while Barbara and I were talking Alan butted in and started not only arguing with me but also his manager as well. Barbara had a hard time controlling him and his mouth. He lied about what he said to me, he was disrespectful and rude again and in front of his manager. All she could say to me was Im sorry all the way to the elevator. If I was his manager he would have been FIRED. As I said in the beginning RUN dont walk away from Rotmans. Way over priced, at least one horrible sales person and a manager that has no control over her sales people. I initially wrote this review approximately two years ago. I felt it my responsibility to update it after a conversation with David Rotman a short time ago. UPDATE - As of April 2016 Alan Mzarik still works at Rotmans. Horrible business practice to keep someone on with this attitude. There is at least one other review that I saw complaining about the same treatment from Alan. Can you imagine how many other people havent complained or written a review about this company and this sales person. SHAME on Rotmans for keeping this disgusting person around.

We wanted to celebrate our 25th Anniversary by buying ourselves a new bedroom set. We happened upon a great salesperson in the bedding department who guided us through our options to help us choose the right mattress which turned into a surprising purchase of an adjustable bed. He gave us his business card and it turned out we had the pleasure of working with David Rotman! Later we browsed the bedroom sets and happened to cross paths with David again on the stairs. He showed us a beautiful Amish set that we fell in love with on the spot. Unfortunately when the set was delivered, we discovered that the foot board and rails didnt fit the adjustable bed base. I contacted David to let him know what happened and he was just as surprised to hear it didnt fit because he had taken all the measurements himself the day we purchased the bedroom set. He offered his sincere apologies and made sure that we received full credit for the returned items. While we were disappointed in the outcome, we were still very pleased with our new furniture. A couple of months later David called to say my problem had stuck with him and he wanted to make it right for us. He contacted the Amish mfg company and ordered a set of custom rails that would attach to the foot board. Thanks to his efforts to make the situation right, we have a complete bedroom set. Since then Ive purchased a leather living room set for my new home along with a custom kitchen buffet. All of the salespeople that I worked with for these purchases were professional, knowledgeable and didnt rush me through the decision making process. My positive experiences along with the dedication of customer satisfaction working with David Rotman are the reason why I am giving them a five-star review.

My fiance and I had originally gone to Rotmans last Saturday to pick out a rug for my condo. Once that was done, we decided to check out the mattresses, since we were moving into our new house within a week (and getting married within 3 weeks)! Danielle in the mattress department greeted us with a warm, authentic smile and asked if she could help us. We told her we needed a mattress but werent sure how to choose one, especially since I like a firmer mattress and my fiance prefers a softer one... which is probably why we had been delaying the purchase lol. Danielle was so excited for us, she instantly treated us like family, informed us about all of the different mattress types, pros and cons, and answered every question thoroughly and honestly. She gave us plenty of time to test out mattresses (how fun!) without pressuring us. We selected our dream mattress and placed the order. As we were leaving, I mentioned to a supervisor passing by that Danielle was absolutely incredible and deserved a raise. Apparently, that comment went up the chain and - lo and behold- I received a phone call from David Rotman a few days later, who thanked us profusely for our kind feedback... AND absolutely insisted on delivering our mattress the day that we moved into our new home- just two weeks before our wedding- rather than having us wait for the Tax Holiday as we had planned. We were (still are) totally blown away by this level of customer service in todays day and age. Thank You, Rotmans!! You make Worcester proud!
