Just had the most bizarre experience at this Target. I caught a screw in my tire, and knew I would need some quarters for an air machine. But had to stop into Target to buy a couple items. So I made my $50 charge purchase then stopped at their ATM machine to get some cash so I could ask for some quarters. I was charged $2.75 for the privilege of using the Capital One ATM in their store. I then waited in line at the Customer Service counter for about 10 minutes observing the employee doing a nice job of helping the previous customer get a discount on her purchase. Once that transaction was done, I then stepped up and politely asked if she could change one of the twenties I got from the ATM machine and give me $2.00 in quarters. This nice young lady calmly looked at me and said "No". Shocked, I asked why. "I cant make change" she said. Having just seen her execute a cash transaction, I asked in confusion what she would do if I was paying in cash. She then said it was store policy not to make change. I said, thinking that this must apply to people who come in just to get change "But, I just spent $50. Cant you help me?" Her response was "No". I then walked out of the store but thought, no, this cant be right. Im not going to let this happen. I went back in and told the girl that I wanted to return my $50 purchase but I wanted to return it to a manager. She called the manager over to whom I explained how shocked I was at their policy and therefore wanted to return my purchase. Her reaction was to yet again clarify for me that this is the store policy and that they are "not a bank". How absurd, to think that asking for a few quarters is "banking". She then started to process the return. Shocked that she didnt even consider trying to take care of a customer before taking that action, I got a bit loud and brusque with her. I stated that I was shocked that they had such an absurd policy that they were willing to not only lose the $50 sale but were also willing to lose a customer for ever. I also said I would be posting on Google and would make sure that everyone I know would be well aware of my experience. She then looked at me and said "I could give you the $2.00 in quarters, do you still want to do the return?" I told her that if she would give me the quarters, I would cancel the return. She then proceeded to begrudgingly make the change and kept murmuring that the young clerk had been following policy. I told her as I left that I had no problem with the young lady but I had a problem with the absurd policy which is obviously somewhat flexible if you are willing to make a scene. Sad to see that Customer Service, which used to be the goal of must companies, is quickly waning away. I ran the North America call center for an international company during the 90s and we killed ourselves trying to find new and better ways to provide exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, at this Target, following policy is more important to the management than keeping customers. I shouldnt have had to sacrifice my good manners to get what was such a menial gesture of good service.

No cell service thru most of the store (have at&t and this is one of the only stores an places I cant get a signal ) Want to be able to access Internet to check target cartwheel coupon app but can only get service right near checkout counter. Also wish they were open later esp during the week. However their selection of products is great, value is fantastic and quality of products is really good. I usually end up spending at least 2-3 hours shopping there and I normally HATE shopping. There is so much to look at n its so easy to lose track of time (in a good way, zoning out n relaxing while finding great new stuff)...only other negative is to hope you dont hafta ask an employee for help or knowledge of anything....if u do...get ready for attitude about 85% of the time. They seem very miserable and unhelpful most of the time. Id rather find stuff myself then deal with the rudeness...but the deals, coupons and store itself make up for it..the employees ignore you anyway so u can do ur own thing n learn the place pretty easily. Overall I rly do like it here n go here quite often, 1-2 times a week...used to go to target in lowell until we moved, similar experience but less stock selection. Target card is a must-highly recommended, 5% savings everytime u shop, n dont forget to download the "cartwheel" app for extra coupons, more u save, more u can spend! ;-) will continue to be a target customer so long as the employee service doesnt get any worse....after all...there are many stores out there very similar but for now this is a fav. Just needs a lil help.

I love target. I cant help but buy stuff I sometimes dont even need when I go there. They have a nice clothing department for men and women, a really great electronics department where youre sure to find many items on sale, and theyve got a pretty neat food department too, always getting new and interesting little items to try, and I myself am a vegan, and target happens to sell many vegan food items, and is expanding their selection constantly! Its a very clean and friendly atmosphere, and Ive never had any complaints about any of their employees; theyre all just so awesome and ready to assist you any way they can! They definitely beat any other major corporation in that aspect. I will forever love target!

NOTHING! I very rarely shop at Target BUT I had a guest visiting here from Colombia & she requested we go here. The registers are never lit up, the express register is rarely opened. I spoke with the store manager about the issues. Had to return there today & again issues at register. After standing in line for 10 minutes the girl at register told me she wasnt opened & pointed to her light. I asked her IF the other 2 registers where people were in line ( NO light on) were closed as well. I spoke with the store front manager about the issues again. I will take my business to Walmart for 2 reasons : better prices & MUCH better service!! Im finished with Target!!

I love this store! The employees are friendly and helpful, and combined with Cartwheel and RedCard the deals are phenomenal. The staff is always hard working, despite any and all situations that may occur. The Pizza Hut staff is more competent than the one at the Mall in Leominster, and even the personnel collecting carriages are helpful and polite!! The shelves are always full and if theyre not, the staff will assist in trying to locate your item or show you how to order it online. The people that stock shelves there must really know their stuff, as it seems like items are continually being stocked on their shelves! Best store ever!!!

Its a Target. You will have your good days there and you will have your bad days. Either way, its better than Walmart. The prices are reasonable, they have great sales, and you can find most anything. My only complaint is that I have been there twice now looking for a screen protector for a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and they dont have it. The cashier I spoke with did offer up the advice of me going down the road to Best Buy. Plus - They have people who can actually help you.
