I truly had high expectations for this highly anticipated store. After all of the publicity, press, and media exposure Apple clearly thinks sleek modern aesthetics and presentation are an adequate substitute for basic customer service. I expect the lines and chaotic environment with the opening of a new store but once inside the ball was 100% dropped. I went in for a simple display replacement and was finally noticed by an employee after almost 25 minutes standing right in front of check in staff. Once "helped" (if you want to call it that) I was told it would be about 45 minutes to an hour for the repair and I put my name in the que. After waiting the employee who was returning my device to me seemed almost puzzled as to the exact whereabouts of my device and disappeared to the back. Once my device was finally found I was told how much my replacement screen cost. I told the employee I had apple care on my device and it shouldnt have come to the amount it did. A female employee then interrupted my interaction with the employee helping me and was very short, cold, and seemed to speak to me as if I didnt know what I was talks about telling me there is no apple care coverage listed for my device. After they checked up on it on their end my apple care information was magically found and the price was adjusted. In my honest opinion, every visit when the store was located in Peabody was easy, fast, and not stressful at all. Clearly this new store means more to those who run it than the very people who step into it. I will not be returning.

I love Apple products, but this is the worst apple store I have been to. They "repaired" my Mac and when I got it back it did not turn on anymore, and when it did, it overheated without entering the operating system, just looping into restart mode. I went there with an appointment, had to wait, and then they told me they forgot to put a screw in the logic board. The manager, Mike, was rude, didnt want to listen despite the issue being their fault. The tech, Sully, was equally rude. As it turns out, I was not the only one to have issues. As I was waiting another individual came to the "genius" bar stating she had her battery changed, and when she went to turn on the computer it did not start. This place has a barely 2.8 rating, so if you need to service your Mac or want to purchase something go to another Apple store. Based on the reviews, and the negative experiences, you dont have to be a "genius" to avoid this store.

I had fairly good experiences there, though they do get quite busy at times (thats not their fault of course). Greetings are pretty quick upon entering doors. Waiting to see rep takes a bit longer. They are very nice when talking to you, and willing to help in finding something you might need for your Mac. There was an incidence in 2013 where there was an ongoing issue with my Retina screen from the time in was new (progressive white spotting), and I could never find time to make appointment with guru (or is it genius? anyway, appointments dont work well for busy people; I just wanna drop the computer off and pick it up when its fixed, not make an appointment). It had gone past time, but Apple service over the phone approved a screen replacement, though the Peabody store tried to charge me for it -- however, the guru called Apple service and got the okay for the free replacement.

Purchasing my new mac was easy, I was prepared from doing my research. Unfortunately the support was disorganized and/or lack knowledge. First of all, the sales woman told me that I could have the data transfer done while I was having my one to one appointment. When I called to inquire about this I was told I had to leave the computer for 2 days. Next, I informed the tech when I dropped my Dell for the data transfer to my new Mac that the Dell is difficult to power up, and I left instructions on how to best do that. And lastly, I was called 5 minutes before my "meet your mac appointment" to inform me that even though the computer had been with the Apple store for 24 hours, they could not power up my Dell and so the data transfer had to be postponed. A simple phone call to me would have remedied this.

Only because I can not do one star. Went to the store - after just a few minutes, less than 5 some kid took my name cause I wanted to upgrade to a 6 plus. 13minutes later - i check in with him about how long it would take - he said it was busy (though few customers in sight) and that I had been waiting only 13min. Then several minutes later I see him and another worker exchanging comments - say my name - then the other man left and yet a third came to tell me it wouldnt be long. Well, so much for Apple - Im getting a Samsung. Had to have something to make the decision for me - that kid did. 7/25/15 Peter

I have never felt the need to write a review on ANYTHING before (not on yelp, google, ect) the reason why i picked today to write a review because I HAVE NEVER left a store/place so angry before, yesterday. Not only did they make me wait around for 2 hours, i didnt even get my product!! Not only that, 3 people helped me and not ONE of them was friendly. Never seen anything like it. I wish i could give NO stars, the 1 star is pushing it. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. Ive been upgrading to new iphones ever since 2007 and im honestly reconsidering getting another one.

Fast courteous service for my iPad Pro. A bit disappointed that they didnt have a replacement pencil in stock. They told me 2-3 days, but called me the next day to say it was in. While I was there I had a wonderful chat with a salesperson, learned about two new apps I could really use and found out hat I can replace my aging MacBookPro and iMac with a new MacBookPro and use my old 27" iMac as a display for it! Im thrilled, I went in for a simple service appt and got SO much more! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, Im glad they moved from Northshore mall.

Gorgeous wall-sized screen makes this glass-encased store space aesthetically pleasing. The multitude of Apple techs are generally knowledgeable and helpful in resolving most common malfunctions. That said, this place loses a star for its location buried inside a labyrinthine complex with no signage, no maps, and a bewildering layout. Ive traveled extensively on four continents, yet literally have had to stop to ask for directions to the Apple Store every time Ive tried to locate this store. Get yourselves on a map, Apple Store Market Street!

While on vacation in CA, IPAD failed, so waited 1 hour at Fashion Valley Mall, San Diego Apple store and supposedly had problem resolved, but not. Having returned home, just called North Shore mall store in Peabody, MA and spent 5 minutes going through their automated system without speaking with a live person. Obviously, sales and profit is much more important to this company than service. The IPAD that currently requires repair is the first and last Apple product I will buy.
