DO NOT Order anything from HITCHCROOK!!!!!One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with in my life. I returned a pair of sneakers that I wore for a couple of months which had terrible tears in both heels of the shoes. The shoes were so bad it made them unwearable. I paid $10 shipping to return the shoes and was told by a "35 year experienced professional" that it was my fault for getting a size too big. I told her that I have been wearing 9 1/2 for over 20 years and never experienced this type of problem in any of my shoes. So basically they didnt want to help me out in any way. They offered me a measly $20 refund or my shoes back? WOW!! A proper well established company would have either refunded my order or just sent me a replacement pair of sneakers equal to the price I paid. Why would you lose a customer and make me unhappy for a pair of sneakers that were clearly defected? I just dont get it? I will be writing on all social media about how horrible customer service HITCHCROOK is. DO NOT buy anything from HITCHCROOK!!!

I have noticed that most reviews that are 5 stars are from people who have not had to deal with your customer service. Bought a pair of boots from you that had a squeak in sole of left boot from day one. I made the mistake of thinking it might go away but it continued to get worse. After wearing them less than a dozen times and getting annoying looks from people in stores I sent them back only to be told they were to worn to be fixed or exchanged. I told the lady that they had not been worn that much but she said there was nothing they would do but she would tell her manager an would I like them back. I told her to keep them because they were to annoying to wear. To date have not heard from management and I am out well north of one hundred dollars. A company is only as good as its so customer service and yours is terrible. This is not my first pair of shoes and boots and have not had any other problems. As a final point Im just shocked at the lack of concern for repeat customers. Tom L.

Until this last order I would have given them high marks. However, let the buyer beware! Its apparently Hitchcocks policy to withhold the return of any shipping charges youve paid whether the money was used to send you merchandise or not! I ordered a pair of shoes for my husband on 4/4/17. They were not on back order at the time of my order. This week I learned that the shoes I had ordered were further delayed (until 7/11/17 or sometime thereafter). The so called delivery date of the shoes has been moved back so many times Ive lost track. I cancelled the order for these shoes yesterday expecting a full refund. I received a notice via email saying that it is Hitchcocks policy not to return the shipping charge of $12.95. Why not? The shipping charges werent used to send me the shoes I ordered. Instead Hitchcock held on to all my funds, including the shipping charge, for nearly 3 months!

WORST PLACE EVER!!!! Has had my return for 9 business days and I still have NOT received my refund!!! Ive called many times and each time its the same crap - this is our busy time of the year -hire more people or work overtime. They didnt hesitate to take my money and now they are making me wait to get it back-WORST place ever to order from - their shoes arent even wide and for the price should have been a lot better 2/1/17 was suppose to have my money back in my acct and needless to say they FAILED again at it!!!!! Spoke to a manager who checked on things only to call me back and tell me what I have been hearing the last 7 times I called!!! Please DO NOT order from these people and go through what I am going through-they really do not care about their customers,one lie after another- wish someone there would care enough to do something

Customer service is slow. It takes weeks to receive a response to an inquiry. Many shoes are often quickly discontinued and out of stock in sizes. The Hitchcock-brand shoes are poor quality and often fit irregularly (too tight and always too long). They offer better brands of shoes (e.g. New Balance), but the prices are not competitive. Hi Zele, Thank you for the reply. I have ordered several pairs of canvas sneakers by Hitchcock - i.e. 90K, 92N, 90N, 96K, etc. All were too tight or too long. They required going a full size down and extra width to fit. Also, it sometimes take over a week to get a reply from customer service. When I was contacted by one of your representatives, she never gave me a response to a question I asked.

I have been ordering from Hitchcock Shoes for years. The problem is every time I find shoes that fit me and look good , they stop making them. I wore that New Balance 577 for years... they stopped making them . Then I wore the New Balance 1105.......they stopped making them. When I call the sales people tell me , they were selling well I dont know why they stopped. Over the years I can repeat that story over and over. Another example was the Vans , they switched to shoe from Mexico and it looked like a Walmart show. for 8 times the price. If it means anything to you , dont stop selling a shoe that does well for you , just raise the price, I would rather pay more if necessary.

HIT OR MISS, USUALLY MISS I am forced to buy shoes from them because they are the only ones who carry my size. Now they no longer sell anything under size 7. So what am I to do? Oh well, no big deal. Last two pairs I bought had the soles peel away within weeks. When I complained to customer service, they said they had no such similar complaints. It is a mathematical impossibility that I alone purchased the only two pairs of the same model to have the soles peel away;. Very poor customer service bordering on deception.

I have big feet. Out of the 40,000 pairs of shoes on Zappos, I have a selection of 6. Hitchcock blows by that number on the first page. I have never had a problem returning or exchanging shoes in the 20 years I have been buying from them. It stinks not to have the store nearby, being from Minnesota, to get things right the first time, and paying for shipping is a drag, but oh well. It the shoes fit in the end, that is all I care about and they have the product I need.

"This seems good, but do you have it in wide?" "Sorry, that is the wide." Have you heard this before? Do you go crazy looking for wide shoes? What you will hear at Hitchcock Shoes is "Ill go and get you the 6E." They have womens and mens shoes. The shoes are well made and come in very wide sizes. The person working there was very easy going and helped all the customers through the process. I left with the most comfortable shoes Ive ever owned. Fantastic place.
