They have a lot of different fabrics, and they are pretty cheap. Most of them are well organized, and they have overstock or "remnants" at a discount on tables among the store. (I scored a beautiful, soft white baby hatchi knit for $2/yd among those.) They will not leave less than two yards on a bolt, and any CC purchases have a $5 min. Like many reviewers say, the service leaves something to be desired. If the sales ladies seem to think you know a little something about sewing and fabric, they seem to be more respectful. The first time I was there, a sales lady was talking about "saving" a customer earlier in the day and bashing the womans project. The next time, the same woman was helping someone (with as much delay as possible) and said their Somerville location might have a better selection of a particular fabric. The customer asked if it was possible to call to find out before trekking there. Without missing a beat, the sales woman said, "I dont have their number," followed shortly thereafter by, "They dont usually answer their phone if they are busy." Go here for the selection and prices (tons of printed knits, suitings, satins, lyrcras), which are much cheaper than many places nearby.

I came out to their Framingham store for the first time today and Im very impressed. Unlike the other 2 stores, this location is very spacious and well organized. On top of the usual wall of quilting cotton, they have bolt after bolt of silks, both woven and knit. Ive never actually seen silk jersey before! Theres a nice stock of wool suiting and other wools, too, and a decent selection of linens. Some denim and corduroy, a lot of cotton shirting, and some seersucker and other lightweight cottons for the summer. There are a lot of knits, both cotton-Lycra and synthetic. Read the label on the bolt. I saw a number of bolts of knit ponte, too. Lots of upholstery and curtain fabric, too, including Sunbrella, which is labeled.

Fairly good selection of fabrics, didnt get to spend as much time here as I would have liked, but I could have spent hours! Prices ranged from $2.49 a yard on some quilting cottons to $6.99 a yard on upholstery fabrics. Definitely worth a visit.

Great prices on linen and silks. Nice selection for apparel, home Dec and quilting. Very nice customer service. They only have the basics for notions and trims. I was visiting from Seattle and this place was a highlight of my trip.

Really great selection of fabric, trim, and notions for low prices. Very helpful staff, and a wide variety of types of fabric for both apparel and crafts or quilting. My favorite fabric store!

Low prices compared to other fabric stores. Apparently specialize in end of runs and lots and such from whatever sources. Wife tells me the prices are 20-50% under others.
