When this Star Market was renovated and re-opened on the second floor it was a delight. Big store in a location where the few small grocery stores have closed and were gone for a few years. I wish they kept up their high quality with which they came out a few year ago. They were superb. Since 2016 however the fantastic sushi they used to have is not so fresh any more. The vegetables sometimes are not in prime condition. I have seen meet stamped with future date as “packed on” date and ran into employees who either did not speak any English or told me, for example “we do not have cookie dough,” simply because they had no idea. Still I shop here often for better fish, meet and generally big selection. I think they have gone from 5 stars to barely 4, but still a decent store.

Pleasant to walk around, mostly has everything I need. Never particularly busy, which is nice after feeling like herded cattle walking through the local Wegmans. Still, Wegmans has a much better selection and hotbar, so I will end up splitting grocery runs among both. For some reason both places have certain items much cheaper than the other.

A very Good store to shop in. A great layout, quality groceries. Fruits and berries are not as sweet as you would get in other high end grocery stores like Whole Foods or Traders Joe but besides that this store is one of the best grocery shopping experiences around chestnut hill area.

Literally the worst Star Market Ive ever been to. I like the location and the shop itself, I do not even care if its almost always crowded there but some of the employees there are completely dont understand how to deal with the customers and it seems that Star Market is OKAY with that.

Excellent display of fresh exotics like jícama, chirimoya, guanábana, curly seet cilantro, mamey, lechosa, nixtamal, huitlacoche, wild elote, rábano largo, meats from panamas daríen, Asian chicken and duck feet. All displayed in perfection of shapes, flavours and colours.

Above average grocery store. There is a large selection of produce and meats. There is a decent sized hot bar / prepared food. The store is well designed / laid out so you can easily find what you are looking for if you are trying to get in and out quickly.

I still prefer shopping here to Wegmans. They have made some really great improvements to the prepared foods and salad bars in the past couple weeks.
