After being scammed by a local Optometrist, I was skeptical of going out of my way for a place 25+ minutes away without traffic. They squeezed me in a few weeks ago for an appointment before the end of the year push to use up FSA balances. Originally the first weekend opening they had wasnt until January! All of the staff there are top notch now that I have a clear confirmation of my other failed experience. I finally got a prescription that works for me and a pair of glasses that fit perfectly! My previous pair were way too strong in the astigmatism and instantly gave me a headache after 1 hour of wear. The founder, John Parrelli also helped fit me with the best dailies torric contact lenses. Even though he could have advised me to purchase several of the 30 packs he said since I dont wear the lenses too frequently it is better if I wait until the beginning of 2017 when they will release the 90 pack bulk option for even more savings. The staff took their time and care with me when assessing my vision along with considering my previous observations with my prescriptions to customize one for me. I love my new Black Fin titanium lenses and prescription sunnies! Also for anyone else shopping around this family-owned business is one of the few independent places not owned by the Luxottica monopoly! They also have locations in Beverly, Danvers, and North Andover.

John Parrelli and his team changed my life. I have been going here for over 20 years. John spent close to one year researching the best eye surgeon due the complexity of double vision and a lazy eye and found Dr. Jennifer Mullon of Lexington Eye Associates in 2009. I just left Parrelli Optical for a eye and contact exam. I have to say all of these years I have left impressed with John and his staff as they take so much time to make sure you are where you need to be. I have had eye issues since the age of two. They have changed my prescription over the years because my eyes are so complicated. This place is not inexpensive but if you want the absolute best to be able to see and function properly you shouldnt look (no pun) any further. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

while my experiences with the opticians I have seen there have been good; (though both of the Drs I worked with no longer work there), I find it VERY frustrating that they are very unresponsive to efforts at communication other than in appointments. If you call them by phone, you will likely be unable to get through, and if you call on Sunday or Monday, when they are closed, they dont even have a voicemail set up where you can leave messages. The email address on their website is wrong, so you also cant contact them by email. Also, when I got glasses there, they really tried to upsell me in a big way. I wont be going back there and would no longer recommend them.

Ive gone to Parrelli for several years because I so much like and respect Margot Seligman as a doctor! I like to really understand about my body and she explains everything in detail and shows me the graphics that go along with the explanations. Shes gotten my prescription correct where others have not. I use my insurance for all eye exams, so thats a routine cost. I understand that I could probably get my glasses more inexpensively elsewhere, and may in the future, but Ill go to Dr. Seligman as long as shes there.

This family-owned small business is where Ive been coming for all my eye care needs for five plus years. The staff is friendly and helpful, the clinicians and technicians are top-notch, and the service is very personal. They have a huge selection of frames, including sunglasses and other specialty lenses. For contact lens wearers, theyll order your contacts for you, ship them to your house for free, and match any price you find online.

I bought a Groupon for this store and went there only to find that none of the "Cheap" glasses were in stock. They promised they would call me when they got more in but they never did. So basically, I didnt get a call because they werent going to make money on me. I also asked them to order contact lenses for me. They tried to charge me DOUBLE the price of a store down the street. Dont go here!

Parrelli is expensive. However, they have the best optometrists, who do an excellent job with tricky prescriptions. Would I get glasses here every time, no. Do I do so every few years, yes. If you have a simple eye problem dont bother, unless you want perfect lenses and interesting frames. If you have been having a problem, this is definitely the place to go.
