My wife and I have been regularly shopping in this store since it opened. The prices are more than the local competition (Stop and Shop, before that Market Basket), but we feel the quality of the food as well as the shopping experience was worth the extra money. Over the last two years, weve found issues with the strawberries and blueberries you sell. More often than not, there is mold on some of the berries. Sometimes this is something I spot before I buy them, but others (like this week) Ive gotten the strawberries home to find the top berries look fine but further in the package there is mold. Once or twice a year, I could live with this and just chalk it up to a quality control problem. However, Id say that most times I look through the berries I find packages with mold. More concerning, this has been brought to the attention of people in your customer service department and while they werent rude, they didnt seem that concerned. My wife also brought up the fact that sometimes other items like non-dairy butter, almond, cheese, chocolate almond spread, and almond ricotta were either a day or two from expiration or had already expired. Once again, customer service did not seem very concerned. As I mentioned, I could understand on occasion berries getting sold with mold. But this seems to be be more of a systemic problem. And the fact that customer service did not seem at all alarmed makes me question whether Id be better off shopping elsewhere. Note that I sent this message to the Andover store and was not even given the courtesy of a reply. I am trying to contact their corporate office to make them aware of situation. FOLLOW-UP: The Andover store manager, Bob Meserve, sent the following response: I am very sorry about the problems you have been having at our store recently. I also want to thank-you for taking the time to write. I do not like to hear bad news but it is the only way we are going to improve our business. I am very concerned about the quality and coding issues but I agree with you, what bothers me the most is how your concerns were handled by our customer service team members. That should be the easiest part of our jobs. We give our team members all the tools to provide excellent customer service. Anything less than that and we have failed. Bob also offered to provide us with a gift card for our trouble. I think its great that they are following up on the issues we noted.

Whole Foods is where high quality and high price SHOULD converge at a perfectly balanced sweet-spot; unfortunately, the price shoots up and beyond. The food itself is definitely good; there is a good selection of fresh foods and most of the store consists of natural or organic packaged goods from those eco-friendly-sounding, small-town-acting companies which do make yummy food but still appear on shelves everywhere. The store itself is nice and has a small place to eat one of the fresh meals you can make in the deli or salad bar, and the service is decent. Its definitely one of the highest-quality produce stores in the immediate Andover area, but be warned - it lives up to its nickname, "Whole Paycheck."

I was running late from running a few errands, went to the Whole Foods market in North Andover for a Ready to eat chicken so we can have for dinner. When I cut in to the chicken it was clearly raw, blood coming out of the wing joints and breast was clearly not cooked. My family could have been sick from it, and now I had to cook the chicken which wasnt any help since I was already running late with dinner. Another thing is the bathroom there are filthy, not "Orange line - train station" dirty, but the dirtiest bathrooms Ive ever seen in a supermarket or Mall. The rest of the store is OK, pricey, but is expected if shopping at Whole Foods.

The staff here is uneducated and often rude. I base that comment of several discussions over the past year. They dont know what ingredients are used in their prepared foods, what type of dairy, cheese, wheat, ect. They dont know the difference between natural and organic and insult you when correct them. Its not that difficult, if its not certified, it cant be labeled organic. One of them told me all their livestock eat natural corn... what I asked what natural corn was, he laughed, and said he didnt know.. no one knows, because natural doesnt mean anything... so stop misleading consumers.

This market is generally clean and well stocked. You have to be careful at Whole Foods - some pricing is exorbitant. I found a Stonewall Kitchen jam that was marked "sample" by the manufacturer marked up for sale on a shelf once. The staff is friendly, but often uninformed. Restocking gets missed sometimes at shift changes. The fish section is pretty good. I think they need better management here. Staff competency has been better at other Whole Foods locations I have visited.

Used to be Wild Harvest at that location. Whole Foods is the place for all one needs in the North Shore, not cheap yet worth the investment in the long haul. Been shopping for organic and sustainable products since mid 1980 since our daughter was born 30+ years ago, in Cambridge Bread and Circus, Bedfords Wild Oats and Amdovers Wild Harvest. Voted with my hard earned dollar. Could have better parking arrangement.

This is a pretty good Whole Foods I guess: lots of great prepared stuff, it appears they make a lot of the baked goods on site, and they have a large meat and fish counter. I dont like that they stopped carrying beer, and in general I find it very difficult to locate anything in this store because it isnt that big and they squeeze a lot into it.

I usually order the cake at the Whole foods at andover via phone. I just called the bakery to order the cake today, but I was waiting for more than 15 minutes. It wasted my time. It is very easy work to get the order. But they did not apologize at all. I was very upset. very disappointed.

Everyone in the store is always so helpful, and everyone seems genuinely happy to work there. I love that. And I appreciate that shopping in this store means that Im using/eating/consuming products that take good care of my body AND of the earth. Thats very important to me.

Rude customer service. Not very smart. If a coupon didnt register properly after the fact, let us choose an impulse buy item and call it even of similar value. Dont sit there and make us look like idiots because the cashier and CS failed at reading between the lines.

Small store. Was disappointed with the vegan options at the food stations. No vegan pizza, hot food bar didnt have many options. The burrito bar closed an hour before the store did. We didnt know this and was unfortunate as it was why we went.

Reasonably sized store with all the essentials. Wish they had a larger selection of organic produce. But other than that its got everything youd need. Expensive but only option for good organic produce in the area.

Unfortunately, I left very disappointed.. The employees are rude, the first person I asked for help said "I have no idea" and turned their back.. Never going back again.

Overall good location for wholefoods. Sometimes items there are well overpriced. But at least good selection on organic food. And their bakery has good staff, too.
