About three weeks ago, I returned some crab meat that smelled fishy. I did not have a receipt, however, it was clearly marked as a Safeway product. After much discussion with the manager who said that there was nothing wrong with the crab meat, and that he would be losing money as if it was coming from his own pocket, he finally refunded my money with a warning that I had better have my recipet next time. I have NEVER been treated in such a rude, condescending and ignorant manner in which he spoke to me. I referred this matter to the corporate level and apparently bad customer service doesnt matter to them as they never called back to let me know what the resolution of the situation was. I will never shop Safeway again.

What a pitiful excuse of customer service. It must be difficult for the so called manager to figure out that they need more cashiers. Always, always long lines. There prices are always hire then everywhere else. Then they rob you at the pumps for using your credit card. Get rid of the unions and hire people that know how to work. Why anyone would buy anything from this lazy ass corporation is beyond me. BOYCOTT THESE BOZOS!!!! Maybe, just maybe they will figure it out. Hated it is one star. They dont disserve that. Closer to minus 5 stars...........

While the items may be a bit overpriced, the service was excellent. Some of my favorite employees are the cashier Damon for his excellent manners and always making sure everything is good before I checkout, and Tim from seafood for his approachability and humor. There are many more great employees and overall I definitely recommend giving this store a chance if you havent already.

They overcharged me today and I didnt have a chance to look at my receipt till I got home (35 min drive). Over $20 over charge! I tried calling the store only to be left on hold for over 5 mins. Ill be walking in there tomorrow to get my refund and NEVER walking back in. *pay attention to them while they are ringing you up! I cant image how many ppl have gotten ripped off! :/

The awful cashier named Shawn, was unpersonable, and seemed completely disinterested with his job. He packed the bags haphazardly almost breaking my glass items, he missed scanning coupons multiple times and turned the cupcakes I purchased on their side ruining the frosting, and didnt even apologize. Overall he didnt seem to care at all.

Its a very clean and friendly environment. I love how the cashiers are nice and interactive with me. They seem to have a lot of a selection and I love this grocery store next to my favorite being "Wegmans". The only downside is I never see anyone at customer service and have to wait a good 5-10 minutes for anyone to show up.

I was at Safeway today and on my way out I hit one of three very large potholes in the parking lot. This caused my tire to go flat. This must be fixed, there should not be potholes that big on such a busy parking lot. Be careful. Must be fixed.

I ordered a cake here for my sons birthday and it was awesome! The cake tasted great, and I chose the SpongeBob pirate cake and it looked amazing! It was exactly like the picture in the book.
