THIS REVIEW IS FOR PEP BOYS PASADENA 8036 RITCHIE HWY PASADENA, MD Contacted them on a Tuesday 09/08/2015 to get my brakes replaced, gave them the make, model, information on my vehicle they said no problem drop it off in the morning 09/09/2015 and we will get right on it! had to call back a second time because I forgot to ask where the drop box was and the let me know it was right by the front door...great!! I thought... Dropped off my vehicle at 5:00am filled out the envelope, dropped the key in the envelope and in the box and on the envelope it said to call at 8am to verify. Well here is where clown school showed itself!! The "service writer" said we cant work on your vehicle here its too big... my reply "are you kidding me? I called you yesterday and gave you all the information and now today you cant service my vehicle" his reply "I didnt talk to you yesterday" my reply "I contacted you twice you have MY INFO IS IN YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!" his reply "you probably called another store I am the only one who answers the phone here I am the "manager"" my reply "I called twice once for YOUR ADDRESS AND ONCE WHERE THE DROP BOX WAS" his reply "well you probably talked to a tech here" (hmmm didnt he say he was the only one answering the phones? LIAR!!!! THEN get ready for this.... he said to work on a vehicle they have to see the vehicle because THEY CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT A VEHICLE LOOKS LIKE.... hmmmm AND THIS MORON IS GOING TO LEAD A TEAM TO PUT BRAKES ON A VEHICLE!!!!! I THINK NOT!!!! Then I go to pick up my vehicle and take it to their competitor(smart move!) I get there and there is a vehicle on the lift full size van extremely comparable to my vehicle that they COULD NOT WORK ON!!! I walked in to get the keys and the "MANAGER" knew as soon as I walked into the door who I was and with a smug jacka** smile says can I help you? all I could say was "KEY" because I was so angry, as no work was going on in the shop... they were all sitting in the A/C... this clown needs to lose his job!!! I will post this review everywhere and anywhere I can He gives their other stores a bad name. I cant "imagine a vehicle" he should imagine another line of work....

Made an appointment online for the Pasadena MD store. Got there 1/2 hour early. They said I should have called since they are a small store and dont have a lot of parts. Ok, so just look at my car and tell me what I need (Brakes had just started making noise.) The tech tells me I need front and rear rotors, front and rear pads, and rear calipers. He said the rear passenger side caliper was ready to seize up. Total? $1187. This was the first time I had it in for brake work and its that much? I seriously doubt it. Luckily I called BS on that and didnt even ask them to order the parts for me. I ended up dropping it off at my regular mechanic the next morning - first time Id had this car there - and rented a car to get to work. (I was trying to get it done outside of working hours.) Mechanic called - I needed rear pads only. $168. DISCLAIMER: Why did I bring it to Pep Boys in the first place? My boyfriend had his done at the one on Crain Hwy and was very pleased. This one was closer to me so I went there. Were they trying to take advantage of me because of my gender? Very possible. I was so upset I wanted to call Pep Boys and chew someone out. I chose to post my review here instead.

I was told they could do an alignment for me, when I got there I was told I had to leave because my car was too low, meanwhile my car is almost 7 inches off the ground, and I could see that the jacks and lifts they use are definitely going to fit under my car to lift it up, but they would not even try it, the older guy there I guess he was the main mechanic said no before even looking at the car, this was just very poor customer service, I even offered to pay extra just for them to try because my car is riding in such bad shape that I have to have it done!! so Ive been driving around for the last 5 days waiting for my appointment for them to tell me know because my car has been lowered an inch and a half, I bet if they got paid by the job they would have gotten it done, this is just a classic example of laziness and poor customer service !!

Ive been to this Pasadena Pep boys probably four times(including todays visit) for minor services like oil change, brake inspection,tires installation and rotations for my Honda Accord (2011) and Acura MDX(2016). I book appointments and then go. The front desk staffs were always to the point - which others might think rude. But Ive never had any issues with the staff or services. Even when asked if some particular part needs to be changed, they give their honest opinion and told that it needs no change at this point. If there are any coupons/specials they say upfront. I would defenitly recommend to give this place a try. Chris at front desk is knowledgeable - others are too but I dont remember their names.

These guys are somehow worse than the mechanics at the Glen Burnie Pep Boys. Without looking at my car, he said that my wheel is bent. It isnt. The car is shaking because Pep Boys sold me a defective tire. Everything on my car worked perfectly until I took it to Pep Boys. You can give them your business if you want, but I only like to learn lessons once. They also keep one of their exit doors locked, which is against fire code last I checked.

They got the job done but there customer service was a pretty weak. They plugged a tire but first told they couldnt since I had driven on the tire. I replied that it was driven off the tow truck and that was all. I had filled it before at my house, where it had gone flat, on the way to the place. They also tried to upsell us stuff we didnt need but you should expect that everywhere.

The guy at the counter was very rude. They also tried to charge me for extra stuff. I got a full synthetic oil change so it came with a free your rotation (which is standard thing basically everywhere else) but was going to charge me $15 to calibrate the sensors inside my vehicle. Thats ridiculous and Ill never come back here

Always a repeat customer at this location! The guys here work together as a team. Theyve been courteous, friendly and get the work done in a professional and timely manner. Had 4 new tires installed in less than an hour!

Wanted to charge me $750 for tires. Got the same tires at Costco for $460. Duh! Sounds like they should close up with so many one Star reviews.
