I think Auto Zone (AZ) is better than Advance Auto Parts (AAP) in general. They have more helpful information, better loaner tool program with listed tools. AAP says they have loaner tool program as well, but I just have no idea what they have. I just have to go and ask, then they will look for it, But... AZs system seems to be lacking compared to AAP. I searched something online for store pickup and confirmed its in stock. But actually, that was not. In the other hand, AAP has very good system, so even if they have only 1 in stock, if I go there for store pickup, it IS available for sure. (They had similar problems some time ago, though) Anyway, the guy helped me to reserve one so I can pickup next day. Unfortunately, this place is 10 miles away from my house, so 2 visits cost me about $8 in gas (40 miles driving with SUV). I think I will buy some more expensive part from AAP rather than going this place and find out my part is not available. If you live near AZ, thats great. But I dont think its worth going all the way down there if you are living far from them.

The first time I came to this autozone I was highly pleased because the person that was there prior offered to help me out when he saw that I was looking for something and even helped me install my brake light. Today however I was highly disappointed with the service that I received. Last night I realized my brake light was out. I had an extra light bulb so I tried to replace it myself and failed. So I went to the store and bought a new pair of light bulbs and asked the man at the register if he could help me out. Mind you I woke up extra early to get to autozone because I live in Laurel but I work in Hyattsville. I didnt want to take the chance of getting pulled over so that is why I showed up around 8:00 am. So when I asked him if someone could help me install the brake light he said to me VERY rudely that no, not right now. That everyone is wayyyy to busy and he cannot pull anyone just for that. I was very disappointed. I will never be returning to this auto zone again even though its the closest to where I live.

I have been a customer for the last 10 years. The only reason I keep coming back is because its right next to my house but the service has always been terrible. The employees are not trained well at all and they seem to not have the parts that I need and they sent me to another auto zone. Everytime I call the hold is always 30 min minimum. I see new employees every couple of months and they seem clueless all the time. I am currently on hold with them and we are at 23 minutes now. I dont like leaving bad reviews but this one deserves a bad review and auto zone should be ashamed of the service this store provides. Words can not describe how terrible this store is. I hope their manager sees this comment if they even care and try to make it better. I will still come to this store for minor things but thats about it. Also now I been on hold for 29 min. I believe IRS responds faster then this.

Constant poor level of service over the years. I usually go here for quick parts or oil pickup on my way home. I started using the online ordering service since line wait times are always very long. Online orders are rarely processed by the end of the day. My oil was not requested by noon for online order placed at 9am and I had to wait until the next day. The oil was not ready the next day, so I was given a substitute. Entire customer experience feels like service was a favor and not desired. I was told that employees dont like processing online orders and wish they would be stopped. After changing oil, told the waste oil drum was full. Referred to a better place down RT 1 South. Wont be returning to this Autozone ever again due to constant poor service and rude employees even though its closest to my home.

Asked associate for assistance getting the correct oil filter and oil for my car. Provided him with my vin#. He was busy complaining about how busy they were and bantering with a co-worker about lunch schedules. He not only gave me the wrong filter, he didnt even give me the right oil. Of course I didnt think to double check until I was mid oil change... Went to return the oil filter, asked about some spark plugs while I was the, (different associate) and he sold me the wrong ones. Its frustrating asking for help from someone whose job is to be able to help you, especially when you have the information they need to get you the right products and they dont even pay enough attention to get it done correctly.

I have shopped at the Autozone in Laurel, MD for many years. The service is typically mediocre. I was in there this morning to buy a bottle if break fluid; the girl working the parts counter ignored me standing at the checkout register and never notified her coworkers who I could here working in the back. So I walked out without purchasimg; going to another local parts store. This is a pretty typical situation. I am sure Ill go back, the store is too convienient. But I now buy my oil at a local superstore (20% savings on 0W 20 synthetic) and Ive found less expensive online sources for parts I dont need immediately. Too bad, I dont mind paying a little more at the local store, but I expect better service.

Luis, one of the managers is the reason why I had the best experience Ive ever had at an AutoZone in my life today. Luis not only helped me look up the correct headlights for my car, he ringed me out and proceeded to install BOTH headlights on my car. I really appreciate how sincere Luis was and how easy he made my visit, it really lightened my day. I will be back for sure and looking for Luis when I have another problem with my car. The store was also very clean and everyone in the store was in and out in a very timely manner. Thank you Luis and Autozone!

Great experience. Car battery died twice, I was at my wits end stuck in the post office parking lot when I called, the employee assured me they had my type of battery, and even offered to give me a jump start himself. Once I got there, every employee I talked to was friendly and knew what they were talking about, another employee even stayed late after his shift to help me with a different problem he noticed that I didnt even know I had, that had been caused by a Pep Boys. Excellent store, on par with the rest of my AutoZone experiences.

The standard fare of AutoZones from my experiences—which is mostly positive for a large chain trying to cater to a lot of vehicles. Best experience of any auto parts store Ive had around Fort Meade. The Advanced Auto Parts around here have been pretty awful. Good luck using Google Maps directions to get there; it stopped me a couple streets short even though the address and marker were right!
