Im the Matron of Honor in my friends wedding this weekend and I suggested she go to Alfred Angelo because I had a good experience getting my wedding dress there when the store first opened. She had all of her bridesmaids order the same dress back in February (simple A-line tea-length dresses). In April, I was notified that my dress had come in, and I just found out I was pregnant. When I went to pick up my dress, I asked what my options were and they said (very rudely) that I would have to order a new dress in a larger size because it was a special order item. I asked if there were any other options, and eventually after getting the run-around for a few months, I met with a second seamstress (who I was told did a great job with pregnancy alterations) in July. She took my dress and told me that she would replace the zipper with a corset and that once she put the corset in she would call to set up a fitting. I hadnt heard anything by mid-August, so I called the store to find out what the status was on my dress. After calling back a few times, I finally got in touch with someone who told me to come in about 2 weeks before the wedding. So I show up for the appointment, and the seamstress was rude, saying that I was supposed to be in for my appointment 2 weeks before that and that someone had called me to set up that appointment. I actually never got a call back from her when she said I would, including a call for the appointment she was talking about. After making a comment that I "really put on a belly," (Im starting my 3rd trimester - I told her that I would be by the wedding at our first appointment) she told me that she would have to let out the dress in addition to adding the corset (at this point all she did was take the zipper out). She told me that I could come pick up the dress the Wednesday before the wedding. I complained to Alfred Angelo corporate about it, and they made sure that the dress would be done in time (3 days before the wedding!!!) and they refunded my money for the alterations. But when I went to pick up the dress, you could tell the alterations were rushed and didnt look like they were done by a professional. If you plan to get your dress from this store, I would recommend going somewhere else for alterations. Even if youre in my situation, where you have to order additional fabric to add in a corset to your dress. Working with the store ended up being a lot more stress than it was worth, and Im really disappointed with the finished product.

My daughter was looking for her wedding dress - her first trip shopping for one. We were met by our salesgirl - Alejandra Christa - who welcomed us and sat down with us and talked to Brooke about herself and her fiancé, as well as what she was looking for in a dress. Brooke and I had been looking on your website and had written down the numbers of some of the dresses we thought shed possibly like. Alejandra grabbed the ones that were there and took Brooke into the dressing room to try them one. One by one, Brooke shot them down, slowly realizing that the "dream dress" shed pictured would be the one for her.... wasnt. So Alejandra patiently suggested and grabbed more dresses, only for Brooke to shoot them down, too. But Alejandra never let Brookes disappointment stop her..... she talked with her manager once and brought back some more for Brooke to try on... then, after about an hour and Brooke thinking she wasnt going to find her perfect dress.... Alejandra suggested a silhouette Brooke had never even considered - a fit-and-flare. The first one she brought out was "okay", then after the discussion about what Brooke liked and didnt like about it, Alejandra grabbed a second one. This was closer - Brooke even had me take a pic and send it to her dad for approval. My husband said she looked beautiful in it. But Brooke still didnt have that... "I know this is the one" look on her face. With only 10 minutes left of our appointment, Alejandra grabbed one more.... and when Brooke came out of the dressing room with that dress on ... her face said it all. Alejandra is an angel in our eyes. That she never once got frustrated, upset or impatient with us is shocking.... Brooke certainly gave her reason to do so a couple of times. But after a few tweaks, and veil try-ons, we knew Brooke had her dream dress. We ordered it then and there. The stores manager jumped in at the end and helped with questions. We felt very special and very attended to in the Glen Burnie Alfred Angelo Bridal shop and are soooooo glad that was our first stop. Thank you, Alejandra!!!

The first time I went the employees were somewhat helpful but didn't give me a great impression. When I found the dress that I loved with one of there employees the second time I was there with my mom and maid of honor she was awesome and had a bubbly, kind personality that immediately made me feel like I was in good hands. I came back and decided to purchase that gown but then found out that the woman that had helped me the second time was no longer working there, which the info she left in the system was all wrong, my personal info was even all screwed up. Anyway still purchased my gown from there but anytime I call the store or visit, they are rude and rush me out. Makes me feel like that scene in pretty woman where even if she has the cash to pay for the clothes they were ruse to her and didn't want to accept it. Just thought with getting your wedding gown would be a joyous moment and the customer service reps would be thankful that your there and treat you nice. Lastly, another very irritating complaint I have i's that there mailbox i's always full, which is not comforting because those messages could be other brides and bridesmaids etc that have either an emergency or would like to purchase etc. Also tried calling a different time, hoping j would get thru but the lady on the phone raced me off the phone and stuck me on hold and then picked it up 5 minutes later and hung up me. Called back and explained I was on hold and someone hung up on me after I waited patiently all she said was oh- no apology or anything. I feel like they want your money as quickly as possible and want you in and out and not care about getting to know you and what your looking for in your wedding gown bridesmaid dress etc. From observation they seem to try and juggle a few people at the same-time, which then makes customers feel unappreciated and think and why again why am I thinking about getting a gown here. Just little frustrations I've been having.

I have had two experiences at this store, and both were terrible. For a friends wedding, I needed to have a bridesmaid dress ordered according to my measurements. They did not allow me to try on a dress in a similar style to have an idea of what kind of fit a size would have, so when the dress came in, it was three sizes too big, and the waist of the dress, marked by a sash, sat on my hips. As I stood in the store holding the dress up by the bust to keep from exposing myself, I asked the sales associates how this would be fixed. They offered to alter the dress and charge me for the alterations after they laughed when I told them it was too large. I proceeded to take the dress to a local (retired) seamstress who did a lovely job of altering the dress. She afterward informed me that she altered it down to a size four in all parts of the dress, and they had ordered the dress in a size 10. My second experience involved my search for my own wedding gown. I decided to plan a wedding in five months, so I promptly scheduled an appointment. They recorded my wedding date at the time of scheduling, and when I drove over an hour to go to the store, my sales associate told me that I could not purchase many of their dresses less than six months from my wedding day. When I asked her which ones were available, she told me I would just have to search their inventory, and if I was interested in something, they would be able to tell me if it was available or not. I had selected a style online that I liked which they told me that had available in their warehouse, but the would not let me try it on because they did not have a floor model. They tried to pressure me into purchasing this dress without trying it on, so I elected to call other AA locations to see if they had the dress and found one I could try. It was purchased from another location, so these people lost business for their location.
