My father and I called in for 2001 escape engine, they brought us a taurus engine claiming its the same thing, after trying to explain a simple logic to the driver by showing him the original, It was insulting to have somone who clearly knows little if anything about cars try and "educate us". After thinking we could swap the parts over and make it work we took the engine. Surprises came daily with the engine for starters the wires were cut by a uneducated monkey, the taurus engines oil pan, ignition pulse wheel, cam sensor, crank sensor, coils, engine mounts, flexplate, all had to be swapped. After everything we got the engine to turn over but soon found out the engine was junk, water rusted the inside of the engine liners. We work in a garage, so the only place water would have had enough time to accrue was from outdoor storage at champs. So we let them know, they sent over a second engine again from a taurus, we told them we want an escape engine, so today they brought us number three another taurus engine this one too with rust issues(not a spot or two this was full blown fuzzy rust) the driver said the water in the evap lines was solvent cleaner, but didnt feel or look at it, simply repeating that its solvent cleaner. After over a decade for me and half century for my dad of working on cars and equipment this was an insult from the people at champion auto parts. I dont like the way they push junk onto people, and if you do buy from them triple check everything before you take it off the truck, check the cap, spark plug holes and if you have an electric impact remove the valve cover&oil pan, you dont want a junk engine for the price they charge you.

Only by the grace of "GOD" did I find the right parts at Champion. Even though it looks like a Salvage , the concern is no different than going to a grade A+ royal garage. the owner John, is friendly, the price is reasonable, and guarantees the parts, others dont. being a single female, and not knowing nothing about cars is frightening in itself, but to find help like theirs makes it nice. when my driver side window fell down, I was alarmed but knew right away where to go. John, takes the customers problems seriously, and does something about it when possible; what could had been a frightening experiences turned out with delight. a person is treated royally with respect, and care. you cant find nice people like that much anymore, if you want service with care; GO! there. thank you guys. Had the parts I needed I called them up & asked if they had certain parts for my vehicle & they did so I gave them a time frame of when I would be stopping by & they had my parts dismantled very quickly! They are also willing to negotiate their quoted prices!!!
