I actually wish I could give zero stars instead of one. I recently spent over $300 on 3 pairs of cleats for my boys plus $25 for a Soccer American membership (the clerk talked me into) for future discounts. Because my 3 sons and I all play soccer, I was anticipating having a long time relationship buying from this store and I also thought it would be good to support a small, local business. Today I feel otherwise. Today I attempted to return/exchange one pair of the cleats that were too small on my childs feet. I could not believe it, the cleats were scrupulously inspected, for what I believe to be dust, and deemed unacceptable for return/exchange or store credit by the clerk at the counter as well as the manager hiding in the back (whom I never saw). I wish I could show you pictures of these cleats. They do not look worn and they are in pristine condition. I think this is the first online review I have ever taken time to write but I feel so strongly about this, plus I just read other bad reviews on Yelp about the same store that I just had to warn people. Do not shop at Soccer American in Columbia MD

Soccer American has one of the worst staff I have ever been involved with in my entire life. I have been playing soccer at a very high level for 18 years and I went to take a pair of indoor turfs back after not even wearing them for a full indoor session which is 7 games and they wouldnt accept them back. The associates words to me were that you would see a shoe defect as soon as you put them on. I have taken cleats, turfs, indoors back to many other stores and they all accept them but this guy was one of the rudest associates Ive ever spoken too. I got a little angry and he proceeded to argue and raise his tone towards me and that is not professional at all. If anyone ever has a problem with their shoe and expects to take them back to the soccer american in Columbia dont bother because they will not be accepted.

Called the store to return shoes that were separating at the sole. As per Nike they suggest to return to store where purchased with their 2 yr warranty. These were four month old shoes, used for only two monts. On the phone I was told I could return for store credit. Drove almost an hour to the store and was told I could not return them. Almost two hours wasted in the car. Terrible and incompetent service.

The company website totally complements the retail store as a classy supplement. Soccer American is an authentic soccer specialty retailer- ---period.

They have all of your soccer needs. Kits for both adults and kids, a great selection of cleats for outdoor and indoor shoes, balls, and a great selection of coaching supplies. (Clip boards, whistles, cones, goals, nets, training items) The staff was really helpful in helping me pick out a new set of match day balls.

THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE STORE EVER, MY 11YR OLD IS A KEEPER AND HAS BEEN FOR 7 YEARS. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS HELPFUL AND POLITE.
