I have never been treated so badly in a Petco before. We simply came to return a faulty product, and were treated horribly by the manager on duty. We bought a new harness for our 12 pound rescue dog a few months ago and when walking him the adjustable slider piece at the neck of the harness snapped. We have been using a temporary harness until we went to exchange the broken one as per Petcos return policy, which stated that after 60 days you can exchange a product without a receipt for store credit at the value of the sale price of the product. After asking to speak to someone about returning a faulty product we were greeted by the manager on duty, Valerie. We explained what happened and she asked if it had been within 60 days that we bought it. After deciding its been past 60 days she said we couldnt exchange it. My husband told her that on their website the return policy said we could exchange it for store credit after 60 days even without a receipt. She told him that may be true for the website but they had a 60 days only policy. My husband then asked if they had a copy of the stores policy and she told him "Its not like we can just print it out and have it." This was a strange thing to say so my husband asked "Then how am I supposed to know what your return policy is?" She then pointed him to a PRINTED OUT copy of their policy next to the register, which was the same policy as on the website. My husband pointed out the after 60 days without a receipt policy to which she responded,"Well its up to the manager on duty and Im saying no." Basically, it didnt matter what the actual Petco policy was, she had decided she wasnt going to help us. We have two dogs, two fish and a ferret, so we shop at pet stores such as Petco quite often, but after this experience I dont think I want to go back.

Their training is not as good as the person who they have thinks.. they are!!! If you dont want to be told all the time negative feedback as being the owner..... its the training you get!!! This WAS TO BE A POSITIVE TRAINING PROGRAM....NOT from this locations hired person-Katrina. Stating Im "Training" My Dog to Bark. After 3 sessions. I asked her to HELP! I would watch so to show me...to do it right, as you want it to be, ...I asked. ..she states Thats not how I train! Slogan at this store. " Positive to dog .. Negative to owner even if owner has Disabilites" as I do. They need to change their Slogan! "Do as I say ....no positives for owners" (Or treats..ha ha!) And. Example... her attitude to partiality As not giving positive feedback to myself as owner ....as she DID to other dog owner attending the class with us. Not a Friendly or a Good. Positive Experience for my dog...going to be a back up Licensed Service Dog me.

I absolutely LOATHE this store. Dont get me the wrong, I have absolutely nothing against the employees themselves-they have been friendly everytime Ive gone. However, no matter what day in the week or time I go, I have to hunt someone down to be helped because they are constantly understaffed. Last time I waited 15 minutes on the one guy on the floor who was helping some other customers and finally just left out of frustration. (Not his fault, he was the only one there and he was busy helping people. Just WHY THE HECK DOES MANAGEMENT KEEP THE PLACE UNDERSTAFFED ALL THE TIME?)

I brought fish from them two days back, their dalmation died the next day, in the evening one more dalmation that was healthy in my tank for about a year died. Now my Gurami that were healthy for about a year have died. They keep infected fish and it has infected my entire fish tank. Never but anything from them. I talked with the store manager today and she simply disowns all responsibility and was least concerned about peoples fish tanks they ruin by selling infected fish.

This store is RACIST! They have a racist cashier, a short white girl with short hair, who looks at me in suspicion every time Im there. They also have a woman who works there with long blonde hair. She is a racist after I heard her make a Trayvon Martin joke. Black people DO NOT SHOP AT THIS RACIST STORE! They will NEVER get another dime from me. They dont even care about you filing a racist complaint. They just "brush it off" like its nothing. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

More extensive small pet (gerbil, hamster, etc.) collection than the local competitor. This is perhaps true of other sections as well, but this is the only area I compared. They have ferrets, which the other place does not.

Long wait to be helped, but considering staff size and time of year (few days before Christmas), it was forgivable. The staff was helpful and personable. The experience was just OK though; not great or horrible.

I showed the groomer pictures of the cut that I wanted and that my dog typically gets instead my dog looks a mess. The quality of the cut was poor. Nothing like the pictures
