I have been going to this Jo-Ann location since 2002, and it has gone through a lot of revisions since then. It is one of the Jo-Ann superstores, so it is large, very organized and has a wonderful selection of fabric. This also means that there is a lot of customers, especially in the evenings, weekends and holidays. If you decide to buy a specific style/color/pattern of fabric, theres a large chance that it will not be there the next time you visit. Also, with so many people, the customer service is definitely a hit or miss. I have had wonderful help that knew exactly where everything was, and other times the staff would tell me they knew where something was and point me in the completely wrong direction. The cutting counter is the same: there is typically a line, and usually goes pretty fast, but Ive also had to wait 20 minutes even though I was next in line and the orders were small. The prices for garment fabrics are phenomenal, but prices for other items such as zippers, notions or art supplies are little on the expensive side. I must say that I have come across quite a few unfriendly, unhelpful or plain nasty staff though. A good portion of the workers are very nice. However, there is a number of workers who will talk down to me, write me off, and one lady even messed up my cutting order just to experiment their new electric fabric shears. This location always puts out a "Now Hiring" sign near the end of summer/early fall, so that is always the worst. New employees that dont know anything about fabrics, very slow cutting times, or generally unprofessional. So overall, a great store with a large selection and reasonable prices, but a few PR snags.

So much frustration! The clerks were blase and seemed put out when I needed help. I wanted 36 1/2 inches of foam and the cutter said she could only cut to the inch. I finally asked if she could just cut what I wanted and I would pay for the 37 inches. This really put her out. Later, I was the only one in line for cutting. I was #53. I waited several minutes while over the loud speaker they called # 51........................................ # 52.......................THEN cut for me. Really? Also, I loved a dress that was sewn and on display. They were out of the pattern, of course. I was also disappointed with the fabric selection. Theres SO much fleece and flannel instead of dress fabric. I wont go back.

Great selection lousy service. I just went there during my lunch break to get a few yards of vinyl figuring it would only take a minute. There was a long line for checkout (8ish people) with two cashiers originally. The manager came over and closed one of the registers down for someone ending their shift. Instead of putting someone else on the register or staying she walked away with 1 person cashiering. I wasted a good portion of my lunch hour waiting inline with one semi competent person checking people out. Avoid unless you like wasting time. I will be purchasing online instead of dealing with this in the future.

My experience with this Jo-Ann is good. Yes they are a little understaffed but the staff I have met are very friendly and helpful. There is a shortage at the cutting counter, but with 3 or 4 spaces at the cutting counter ... and people bringing 10 or more bolts of fabric to cut ... it takes time. The sales are great so more people are coming and buying. I have personally witnessed how mean and rude mean people can be towards the staff. The staffs responses are courteous no matter how rude the people. I will continue to shop at this Jo-Anns because it is close and convenient.

The fabrics are ok quality. Lots of polyester. The knit selection is very poor, few quality choices there. The denim is ok. Quilting fabrics are poor quality, low thread count. The staff who cut the fabric are rude and unhelpful. I was 8 months pregnant and had my 3 year old son with me. Instead of cutting my fabric at the counter, the clerk asked me to carry all of my fabric to be cut in upholstery. I wrote a complaint letter to corporate, but received no reply. I avoid buying anything at this store. Do yourself a favor and go to Hobby Lobby or buy online.

This place is not a Toys R Us. It is a little understaffed, but the employees realise that and tend to speed things along as much as they can. Except for one or two younger girls with bad attitudes, I found the staff to be patient, accomadating, and fairly well informed. If an employee didnt know something they asked. If Joanns didnt carry something, they had no qualms about telling me what retailer did. My feeling of the whole experience was that they were there to help me find what I needed, whether or not it was with them. A wonderful experience overall.

My experiences at this store are so far different from other posts here, I find it hard to believe that we were all in the same store. I shop here periodically. It is about 20 minutes further than my neighborhood store, but I find selection enough better to drive the extra distance. I have never been treated with anything other than respect, courtesy and helpfulness. The staff is knowledgeable and ready with helpful suggestions if you have a question. I should know. Im sure I tested them yesterday. Hats off to the fine people who work in this store.

Joanns is a fantastic chain dedicated to their customers. This store has probably the widest selection of fabrics of any other craft store in the area, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful and recognize me because Im there so often. If Im making a quilt, Ill go to an actual quilt shop but if Im making literally anything else, I go to Joanns. They have pretty much everything I could ever need. You should definitely shop here for all of your crafting needs.

There are unfortunately few fabric shops around. Prices arent great here, and though they have frequent coupons, everything tends to be marked up and then "on sale" so that the coupons cant apply. This location tends to be understaffed, and its difficult for even the staff to locate fabrics that are listed as being in stock. I have often heard staff complain about working there. Its an ok place to go when you need something immediately.

I couldnt find anyone on the floor to assist me so I went to the cashier/assistance desk and was told that there is NO one covering the floor. I had a 60% off coupon. When I checked out, the items I wanted to purchase were all 30% off so I could not use the coupon, even INSTEAD of the 30%. It appeared that almost everything was 30% off so the July 2-4 coupon was essentially a con to get me into the store.

This is a nice store, well laid out with LOTS of variety and options. Same great coupons, sales and promotions as other stores. Customer service at fabric counters - not good!!! Knowledge of products by staff NOT as good as I have experienced in other areas. That was disappointing because their knowledge/experience is usually why I choose Jo-Anns over their competition.
