If you want disinterested, bare minimum service, careless work, & an unapologetic owner unwilling to take responsibility for a dangerous mistake, then Interstate Tire Co. is the place for you. Two weeks ago we got a brand new set of 4 tires from Frank at Interstate Tire Co, in Cockeysville. It wasnt easy to get Franks attention as the phone continually rang, while he had 6 other calls already on hold. We got tired, half-hearted customer service from a man who seemed too busy & too rushed to give us much effort or attention. But we persevered because we had read some good reviews by others & thought maybe it was just a bad day. When we returned to have the tires put on it didnt improve. After spending half a day waiting we paid out a chunk of change & figured it was a lesson learned. Now imagine driving down 83 at 70 mph in heavy traffic when the front end of your car starts making an alarmingly loud rumbling. No engine light comes on & the sound only grows worse. I pulled off at the nearest exit & called Triple A for a tow truck. After arranging & waiting for a tow to the dealer & a rescue ride for me, the rest of the day was shot. I was utterly shocked when the dealer called the next day to say that my front left tire was about to come off! Imagine your wife, daughter, mother, sister, or your children in your SUV & the front left tire flies off at great speed in heavy traffic. This could have been a horrific catastrophe! It was lucky that I pulled off when I did & had the vehicle towed (a good distance) to the dealer. They said the lug nuts were loose & the tire about to come off, but luckily the rim hadnt been damaged by driving on it further. Its nearly impossible to get Frank on the phone for a conversation, so my husband drove over to talk with him. As usual he was too busy to talk, but my husband let him know what happened & that we wanted him to pay the tow bill once it was received. No reaction, no apologies, just the usual brush off & that hed need to see the bill. Clearly Frank does not value his customers or their safety, nor his reputation for that matter. Perhaps he assumes that we dont matter since he has more customers than he knows what to do with. This was a terrible experience for us & we intend to let others know how we were treated. Frank is extremely fortunate that our tire did not come off as we or others may have ended up owning his business. Most fortunate of all, no one was injured or killed.

Frank runs this shop from a small garage in a non-descript corner of Cockeysville (what a name). It takes a certain sort to want to price compete against the likes of giant stores such as Mr. Tire, but this place does. Yes, he does have more than his fair share of sardonic humor and weird triggers (try asking about a warranty; its like going to an old barber in many respects). But his team of young mechanics get the job done, the price is right, and wouldnt you want to go to a shop with character where people actually know you (for better or worse) instead of dealing with anonymous itinerant workers at the local franchise store? I say go see Frank about your new tires. Hell more than likely beat whatever price you can find on the internet. Just be ready with a quick comeback!

My experience was great. Quality service, great prices (I checked every other surrounding shop for tires) and pleasant employees. This will be my first stop from now on. They came highly recommended and I have to agree, theyre great. Any other tire shop in the area would simply be a waste of time. I went in for tires and they recommended that I wait because my tires were still fine. I was ready to spend over 400 and they could have easily sold them to me. Honesty, thats what consumers need and these guys deliver.

Went here for ContinentalDWS tires. 1. Got the tires here when others said the tires were "nationwide back ordered". 2. Mr.Frank is one the most courteous persons i met in a long time. 3. In the age of internet, after lot of research, i realized they had the best price (installed prices). 4. When i was not happy with my first set, he switched them without hesitation. 5. I actually felt bad to go in there to get the switch for free after talking to such a nice person (but i am unemployed so could not offer any $)

Ive used Frank and his guys for years on several vehicles ranging from dedicated off-road trucks to luxury sport sedans and everything in between. My friends and family have used him and he seems to keep busy enough via word-of-mouth advertising. Hes always the best price on tire deals in a 40-mile radius and has no affiliation to any tire brand. What you get is honest opinions, solid tire service, all at a very reasonable price.

They not only were quick and efficient, but they also educated me on what happened to my old tire and how to avoid the problem from happening again. I was a little worried at 1st because Im on a budget and they ONLY sell new ties, but I couldnt believe how extremely affordable they were! All the staff were friendly and professional. This is the only place that I go to for tire, wheel, and alignment work. Frank and his professional staff provide outstanding service and care. Importantly, they torque your lugs to proper specifications: equally important for both enthusiasts, and anyone who is concerned about safety, and being able to loosen their lugs in the event of a flat, or other emergency.

Was in Timonium for a video audition and nearly had a blowout. Hobbled over to this place on my spare, based on a review my girlfriend found on the web. I was prepared to buy a pull-off but and they got me a brand new tire at a very reasonable price, tax and labor included. No nonsense place. Highly recommend them. Too bad theyre so far away from where I live.

I stopped by here after bad luck with a mr. tire. The gentleman who helped me was able to diagnose my problem right away- a bad wheel bearing on an old bmw x3. I fixed it myself, so he never charged me for the advice. Saved me a lot of time and energy for free. Id take my car there for sure if I needed anything else that was out of my hands.

Ive known Frank and Mark for close to 10 years. Have bought many tires from Frank. He will match Tire Rack prices. Can get almost any tire. Mark has changed my tie rod ends, and can also change suspensions. Great mechanic and an Audi enthusiast as well. Guys are honest and reasonably priced. Thats why they are so busy.
