My only complaint is the cashiers. They are rude, hardly acknowledge your existence and talk to each other too much. Also did not bag well. I use to come here because its somewhat the closest Safeway but it isnt too inconvenient to go to Waldorf or go to Giant in Accokeek or Laplata. I left for two years until I came here again and its almost the same, sad. The people in charge dont care too much. They hire a lot of the same employees. They dont know customer service well. Some conversations are inappropriate. Just wait until you dont have any customers in line. Also, dont stand there like you have nothing better to do. I will say there was a bit of a difference compared to two years ago, some of the staff was friendly and would ask if you need help. Maybe their trying but they have a ways to go. Maybe this area is becoming hopeless.. I will rather not come here ever again bough but if I have to I have to. Ill use Amazon prime pantry when I can though.

This review is for the pharmacy and not the store. The staff of the pharmacy is at times short and dont answer phone calls. They will delay ordering your prescription and not let you know except by letting you know that the prescription will be in later in a couple of days; and btw, call before you drive over...which leads to the fact that they often dont answer the phone calls. The staff acts as if they could care less about their customers; so, for myself, I will care less about them and use the CVS across the street where I have always received better care and service. Oh, why was I using Safeway...purely a matter of convenience. Ill instead use customer satisfaction as a higher priority than convenience wrt CVS.

Closest to home, so use it frequently, however,it is very common for the store to be out of sale items necessitating rainchecks. They dont always carry items I want, like Diet Sierra Twist, or other flavored Fresca, if you want fresh bagels you have to be there early because they throw them away before 7pm. Also, it is not unusual for the store to rearrange merchandise locations without warning. So I will most likely be shopping at another location soon.

It keeps highly stocked and have good prices for what you need when its on sale. I would avoid going on Saturday mornings and saturday afternoons because it gets very busy and takes longer to get out of there and get passed all the people who are waiting to check out.

Ugh this store is such a drag!!!! Always packed and always not enough cashiers! The seafood and meat section, good luck getting help! The lines are always down the isle since they usually have like 3 or 2 lanes opened! Terrible!

I normally dont visit this store but its 7pm & Im surprised that this store is clean, well stocked with helpful, nice & friendly staff members. I can definitely see myself coming out of my way just to shop at this store.
