Dont waste your time. I called in advance to ask what they paid on gold and silver..(typically places will pay melt, or just under). The lady told me that they pay current melt value. Her hanging up without saying bye should have been my warning.... Ill admit I played a little stupid to get a feel for how they run their business. The lady offered me $45 for $862.02 worth of scrap gold and 20 Morgan Dollars. I was so insulted I didnt know what to say. After declining as politely as possible, I found my way to the door at which time I heard her mumble something of strife towards me. Confusing layout in very old house. Looks like the business has kids that come and go. Will NOT be stopping by this place ever again.

Had a wonderful experience with F&L today. While I waited, they removed links from a new watch and replaced a battery in another. I had also taken an well-worn, gold bracelet in for repair, and while they said they could readily repair the broken link, they also said there several other very weak links that could go at any time. They cautioned that it could end up costing me more money than the bracelet was worth to keep repairing it. I appreciated their candor and advice, and heeded it.

Ive sold a lot of gold in the past at a lot of places. Counter to what some people might think, nobody pays melt value or just under melt value. However, this store has paid me the highest on all gold and silver I have sold them. Great family and excellent customer service.
