I purchased a number of items this past spring. One of the items was a hexmat used for pen and paper rpgs where one can use dry-erase markers to mark on the mat. Unfortunately, this mat was not in stock and Dan claimed he could get it in a few days from his warehouse. He put my name into his computer system and I took my remaining purchases home. He also stated that he would call me when it arrived. The first strange thing I noticed was that I never received a phone call. No big deal, but picking up the mat kept slipping my mind. I emailed Dan to ask if I could come in and pick up my remaining purchase, he said he had the mat in stock and I could come by. Upon arriving at the store, the cashier claimed my name was not in the system at all. Having made the rookie mistake of losing the receipt, I realized I was in trouble. Dan said they would be willing to sell me the mat AGAIN and I could come back and get my money back if I could find the receipt. The whole transaction was dicey from the start when I never received a phone call back. I recommend finding a different game store in Baltimore if you are looking for reliable customer service and fair dealings

One of the best game stores Ive been to anywhere. This is a true gamers paradise, unlike a lot of stores which contain mostly comic books with a little section of games. The store is clean and well lit, and all of the staff and customers are always fun to be around. They usually have multiple copies of all the mainstay games and can order anything they dont have in stock. They have fun events almost every day of the week/weekend depending on what games you like to play. I went with my wife on a Thursday night for their Android: Netrunner night, and the owner taught us how to play with his cards before we had our own. Weve also been on a Saturday for open gaming and everyone there was friendly and willing to teach us new games. This is a great place with something for everyone--whether youre a casual gamer, hardcore gamer, or even if youve never played anything before and are looking for an easy way to get into it. Canton Games is a perfect example of what American small businesses should strive for. There are game stores that are closer to where I live but I would much rather drive out of my way to come here.

They had a good selection of games and were friendly, but I wont go back. I asked about the price of a game and he said it was $52 after the 10% used discount. My sister said she found it cheaper brand new online and he told us that it was out of print and it was actually more expensive online, which was a lie. After I got home I saw it is being sold by the manufacturer for $39.99, so it is not out of print, and I feel like I wasted the extra $12 markup for a used game when I could have gotten a new one. The worst part is that the clerk lied about it just to rip me off.

The employees here are unfailingly friendly and patient, and really know their stuff. They have open gaming on Saturday, which is a great way to try out games (which can be pretty expensive) before buying them. Ive found several new board games this way and, as a bonus, met other gamers to play them with! Theyre also really involved in the local gaming community; they host tournaments and sponsor the monthly Brews and Board Games social events in Baltimore (the nearest one meets around the corner at Myth and Moonshine).

This is a great locally owned gaming store. We went in on a Saturday, when they have open gaming, and asked if the would play Munchkin so that my son and I could learn how to play. No problem. We had a great time playing the game with the owner, his wife and another gamer. They taught us the rules and some tricks. It was a great experience. The owner is more than happy to help with explaining any of the games that he sells.

Great place to visit. Has just enough of what people are interested in and not more then what most people need (cuts down on browse time). Found a dark horse terminator omnibus that I was looking for to boot. Staff was eager to help me which is nice compared to some other shops.

As a long time magic player, I find this a great local place to hangout and play. They have multiple magic related events that go on weekly and people there are great. Also, Dan, the manager, is very friendly and a great shopkeeper. I highly recommend dropping by.

Excellent game store, best in the state. Games, comics, collectibles, you name it and this place has it. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you walk out with what you want, not what they want.

Really friendly staff, and seems to be good working with both hardcore gamers and folks just looking for a replacement chess piece. Not a huge selection, but they seem eager to help locate things they dont normally stock.

5 stars alone for their willingness to hold packages for the neighborhood. Then go ahead and look at their awesome selection of games and merchandise. Love this place on many levels.

I need to go in here more! It may be small but it is mighty, and its right in the middle of Canton. They also have a ton of gaming events if you want to interact with other humans.
