Worst customer service. I was denied an alcohol purchase and Im 27 years old. They claimed everyone in our group had to be IDed and said it was a store policy. There were six of us and 5 out of the 6 were over 21 leaving my sister who is 17 & the only underage person in our group. She never touched any alcohol or acted suspicious. We put up a fight but they made us return the alcohol we already purchased and wouldnt allow the rest of it to be purchased and also threatened to call the cops. The customer service representative even told my cousin to shut up when she argued against this "policy". They told us if we had the 17 year olds parent then we could be served. Therefore, we drove home picked up our parents and drove back mind you we live 30 mins away so this entire ordeal took over 2.5 hours when all said and done. When we arrived with our parents they still denied us any alcohol stating it was "policy" that if you are denied once youre denied for life. HA. I asked for proof of this "policy" and they couldnt produce it. We sucked it up and left without anything even after being discriminated against because of our age. By the time we made it home it was past midnight so we waited until the morning to call both corporate and the store about the whole ordeal. They both claimed that this situation was dealt with in the wrong manner and the "policies" they claimed to be policies were not policies at all. The manager stated that the whole group does not have to be IDed only the people physically handling the alcohol and there is no policy stating once your denied youre denied for life. The manager said that when we came back with our parents there should have been no issues and we should have been able to purchase our alcohol. He claimed that hell make sure that the staff get more training on the alcohol policies. We did nothing wrong but we were targeted, followed around the store, called out in front of other customers, and lined up like criminals for trying to buy a couple six packs of beer. I hope that they had fun gathering around laughing and smiling at us because this wont be the last they hear of us. Just because we look young gives them no right to discrimate against us and treat us the way that they did and tell us to shut up because we challenged their fake policies. Have they went about this in a better manner and not made up policies on the spot then there would have been no issues.

Ellsworth service

On 8/6/17 I went to walmart with my daughter to get a PS4 game. We were completely ignored for about ten minutes. When we finally got help we payed for the game and started to walk off and noticed that the game was loose in the case and sliding around. I went back and asked if they could give me one that was not loose in the case. I was told "thats just how they are sometimes" by the lady working there and she would not give me a new one and walked off. I then waited for someone else to come over. After another 5 minutes or so I was asked by another employee if he could help me out and told him the situation. His response was I cant do that youll have to talk to a manager. I asked if the manager was there and they said hes not on the floor right now. A third employee also refused to help me. I went to the counter after I saw the Manager come out. While standing in line and getting dirty looks by the employees the first lady I spoke with came over and said she would get me another one. She was very rude about it. This will be the last thing I buy from the electronics department in the Ellsworth store. I gave it a one star only because you have to before they will post the review

this place has very little selection, you cant try on headpphones here, dont even think about clothes shopping, quality of office suplies are awful, but if you want an inner tube and tow line, (for tubing) go here if you cant afford to support an independent business that isnt ruining our economy and mistreating workers. the staff is lazy and un helpful as well, which is likely due to their awful pay and treatment.

Everyday items move location within the Store, most employees seem fat and lazy, and a queer "theft prevention" dude who walks like he has butt plug with short dark hair, funny facial hair, and his favorite blue hat likes to follow people around making families and females feel uncomfortable. Definitely one of the worst Wal-Marts Ive been to in over 20 states.

We parked along fencing that overlooked a water retention pond, on the pharmacy side of the building. Two different families were living in their nice vehicles and I was able to have some great conversations with the parents. Never know what a person can learn when you give life a chance. And thanks to Walmart for the opportunity and the space to park.

I do not enjoy shopping here at all! Products can be found in highly damaged packaging even with damages to the products inside of them. Employees are rude and inconsiderate especially the ones who stock the shelves I have been almost run over by the Man with the pallet cart of merchandise coming out of the back room they dont even apologize.

The selection of ethnic and vegetarian authentic foods has really gotten good and no one beats the prices. (Use the Walmart app to get price matching credit. Easy as pie -- an your receipt, thats all. Plus you dont need to keep paper receipts either, the app stores them.)

I cant criticise the store for ALWAYS being crowded, but its always crowded. Probably for good reason. The grocery section is fantastic, with a great selection of produce. They even carry specialty items like silk almond creamer and pomegranate trail mix, YUM!

Drove here from bar harbor for a oil change while on vacation called ahead said they closed at 7pm arrived at 5pm to only be turned away "only have one tech available" well would have been nice to know this prior to our one hour drive thanks a lot

I mean... there are no board game shops for at least 5 miles, and it has barely any board game options at all. I know this seems like an awfully specific complaint, but its worth noting for vacationers looking for something on a rainy day.

Its an excellent Walmart location, a clean, organized and relativly friendly store with many options and mostly full shelves dispite the large customer base this store serves and the way other Walmart locations often look.

Couldnt get a campsite so we parked our RV for a couple of days here. Best walmart ever. Friendly, well stocked, clean, quiet, wifi (in the parking lot too). We would have bypassed Acadia and Bar Harbour. Great stop!

This Wal-Mart is huge! They have way more options than other Wal-Mart stores. The employees are super helpful and know the store well. They guide you correctly and are very polite (unlike Wal-Mart employees in CT).

Keep in mind this store is in Downeast Maine, as such it is catered to small town Mainers and staffed by Mainers. That being said, if you have a bad experience than youre probably treating the staff poorly.
