Tried to support local business but will not go to another Pet Life again. Have purchased food here many times and when I recently went in to exchange my Lupine leash (they have a manufacturers guarantee where you can get any collar or leash replaced anytime, even if chewed), they refused to exchange it saying I had to go through Lupine directly. I bought my first Lupine leash 6 years ago when I adopted my dog and Ive never once had to go through the manufacturer. Every store that carries Lupine always exchanges it without proof of purchase and gets reimbursed from Lupine directly. Pet Life does not apparently. I called Lupine directly while in store and they were very surprised to hear that the store refused and told me they would let their representative for the Bangor store know they were doing this. Tristan was the gentleman that waited on me and he had a huge attitude the moment I came up to the counter. Will not go back and will not recommend.

Twice when buying live food for my Geckos have I encountered problems here. The first was when I got some mealworms, and over half of them were dead. The second was today. We got some crickets and the plastic bag they put them in had holes in it. So when I got home and opened up the paper bag it was in, crickets jumped out and are now throughout my house. I am very displeased and will be going back in tomorrow to let management know what happened.

I love this store! The employees are the best! Nikki knew my name the second time I went in- she remembers what I buy before even looking in the computer. Very kind. The store is always clean. I get things there that Ive not seen in other stores and if theres something i want but dont see they will see if they can order it for me. My only negative is that the inventory is sometimes a little light.

All of the employees are friendly, very helpful, and well informed on nearly everything. Their animals all look healthy and their prices are fair. Ive been trying to find a food that my cat is willing to eat for around a year now, and I found it in some fairly priced, free roam raw meats that they have... And that was just one of the wonderful experiences Ive had.

Very Nice Independent Pet Supply Store. This was my first visit. The young woman working there was very knowledgeable and friendly. She helped me choose a harness for my dog and saved me some money on cat food by recommending a different size that was buy one get one free. Great place. Bangor is lucky to have it.

Cant say enough good about this place! Pet Life is our most favorite pet store, and they always carry what we are looking for. My furbaby lost his favorite Planet Dog ball last weekend, and I needed to pick him up another. Fortunately, I scored the very last one! :)
