Since I moved to the area last year, I shop here daily. I love the local produce and fresh meat. The fresh bakery cakes and cupcakes are addictive. During king cake season, youd be hard pressed to find a better king cake around. The stores prices are a little higher than the average grocery store but you can easily shop the specials and save money. The team is friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy working at Rouses.

Excellent help and food. They had some very good priced, pre-marinaded ribs. Like all things they stopped selling them, but the help I received was unbelievable; one person went to check the back, another was on the phone to someone off at the time and a third checked their supplier. 5 star service and never had an issue with their meats.

I checked out at the customer service counter and the cashier, Theresa, and another employee whos name I did not catch were making fun of the guy Austin who works there for, presumably, being gay. I found this experience very unprofessional and insulting as a gay man myself. Dont think I will ever return to another Rouses.

A Louisiana owned supermarket in Mandeville that is one of several Rouses supermarkets in the area. We have lots of supermarket choices in the Mandeville/Covington area, and Rouses and Walmart Neighborhood Market are my two favorites. Theres a good selection of both food and spirits, and the prices are reasonable.

The other Rouses locations in the area would seem to be better in terms of layout and offering. I personally use the location at the foot of the causeway approaches. However this location is more convenient for quick pickup of necessities.

Rouses is the best grocery store hands down! Always friendly and one of the last places with an actual butcher to custom cut your meat selection. Great selection of meats and prepared foods.

I usually shop at the one in Denham Springs they have a much better organic and local selections. The Bakery here has a bit to be desired in selection as well.
