I am reviewing the Verizon store on Collins Blvd. in Covington, La, where I purchased two cell phones, 2 tablets and transferred service to internet, two cell phone lines, an office line and a home office line, where they quoted me a price of the tablets at $99.99 each, but I was to get them free. They sold me a home router or "home service connect" but when I tried it, it did not work at all with my office line, asp romised. Another non-company store told me to get another home connect line for the office, so I drove 30+ mles to buy another. The manager, Gil, told me I should not need another home service connect router, and that something must be wrong with the one I bought. Being within the 14 day period to return the items without question, I asked to return one of the two tablets they had sold me. He refused to take it because I had not brought the charger cord, so I offered to buy a new cord for his retail asking price of $39.99, but he again refused, claiming he had none in stock and would have to order one, and that by the time it arrived the 14 day period would be epxired (it was day 11 when I returned to get help. So I asked Gil to sell me another router or home service connect, which his salesmen had told me 11 days ealier was free to me but retailed at $99.99, so Gil wanted double that price , quoting me a price of $199.99, even though a non-franchise or "nonofficial" Verizon store told me 2 hours earlier he would sell me one for retail at $139.99. Gil is, in my humble opinion, a worthless blight on humanity who does more harm to Verizon than he does good. So, I will return all the equipment they sold meat the covington store, cancel my phone service with Verizon and warn anyone in St. Tammany Parish NOT to do business with this store, but deal directly with Verizon via the internet or some decent store where there is some measure of honesty. Beware this Store ! The manager is rip-off oriented, so how do you think his trainees are doing? I gave them one star because the review segment allows no ZERO stars, and no NEGATIVE stars. I have reported him to Verizon and perhaps Verizon can help unsuspecting future customers some relief . Someone should deal with Gil in a way he can understand. Not me, though. Hes not worth my time or effort, nor yours. Go elsewhere or regret it, bigtime. Find an honest dealer somewhere, if there are any. See other reviews of stores in St. Tammany. There must be a virus in that area?

I love the staff and service. I love Verizons network that works in places other competitors have yet to discover exist. That said, I felt like I should have been given a heads up about the Samsung Galaxy S7, which is decent all-around but has the worst auto-correct feature Ive ever seen (its really bad, worse than you think). I like the external audio port and the improved camera, but I type a lot. This phone costs me a lot of time deleting and retyping words that are spelled correctly, used in proper context and were the exact words I intended to use. Galaxys befuddlement with the concept of an apostrophe seems to have improved with the most recent update, but be ready to either correct your phone often, deal with frustration from its inability to learn and limited vocabulary (especially if youve been spoiled by Motorola phones in the past); or choose to look like an idiot to everyone you communicate with because auto-correct has a very limited understanding of the English language. Id also like more selection than only the most recently released products from the various manufacturers. I would have loved to have been able to get a prior model Motorola (prior to the one with the Power Point projector, camera lens, etc.) that had a traditional audio port that wasnt limited to bluetooth only. I dont want to buy all new audio equipment. I had no choice but to get the Galaxy because it was the only phone they had in the store with a traditional audio port, and I didnt have the luxury of waiting several days for something purchased online to arrive.

Very rude. Both the manager and the employees were rude and treated me disrespectfully on several different occasions. The question is, why did I come back after the first experience? They are definitely not willing to give you the time of day unless you are obviously going to buy a new phone. not willing to explain anything and quick to brush you off. I bought my phone online just to avoid the commission going to anyone in this store, but I wanted to see and touch the phone before I bought it so thats why I went in. Honestly the experience is just one of many that really turns me off to Verizon and I would go with a different carrier, but they have the best coverage where I live now. Definitely dont go here any day when the Saints are playing because they stream it on a TV in the store, yell and scream at it, and completely ignore customers trying to give them money.

VERIZON HAS THE BEST SERVICE AND RECEPTION! I conducted my own study by using various service like T-Mobile, Boost, etc. I lived five miles from T-Mobile with an $700 phone and had no reception. They vowed to increase their service and never did. When we travel with friends who have other plans they all lose reception and are unable to communicate. My $30 Verizon phone is always fully loaded for reception! I have never experienced dropped calls or dead zones in the three years Ive been with Verizon. And my plan is very affordable. Bill pay is quick and easy. Theyre locations are accessible and I like that. For a busy lifestyle or a quiet lifestyle, Verizon is highly recommended! I conducted a thorough research with real people doing real life. Simplify life: get Verizon!

This Verizon store is apparently desperate for revenue. I wanted a Moto Droid phone but got confused about which model. After the so-called "Solutions Specialist" pulled a phone and started to set it up, I realized my mistake and asked for the right phone. They charged me a $35.00 restocking fee even though the phone never left the Verizon reps hands. Then they charged me $17.00 a month for the phone when their web site said its $10.00 a month. Stay away from this store and find one with even a small sense of fairness and customer service.

Unless you are buying a new phone they dont care about you at all. Consistently rude employees, I have had two issues they said "there is nothing we can do for you" on that 10 minute phone calls to 411 cleared up with no major hassle. I understand policy and procedure but compassion and customer service still have their place, this location does not recognize that or seem to care. My advice is to call their customer service line directly or go elsewhere. Be mindful the Mandeville location is a certified retailer though!

Verizon has proved time and time again to not put their customers first. My mother came in was taking advantage of her phone was placed in an empty bag unprotected… So when she returned home it fell out and shattered. Verizon missed quoted the price to fix the device by over $100 and refused to help her. I will be contacting them on a corporate level to get this issue resolved. She has been a loyal customer for years and did not deserve this kind of treatment from someone who pays the bill on time.
