My experince lasted all of 5 minutes. I walked into blairing music, I mean it is a tattoo parlor and is to be expected, but I couldnt half hear anything that was said while I was discussing my tattoo with an artist. That was after I FINALLY had someone regonize me standing at the counter. There were about 6 people in a group just hanging out watching a client get tattooed, at least two looked up and saw me only to look back down. A younger guy sitting right in front of the counter glanced up a few times and finally said you need somthing? I replied yes and he stated he didnt work there and waived for another person that did. The guy that came to the counter was very nice and helpful, I will give them that. He was booked until later that evening and introduced me to another artist that would have the time. I was ready to spend about $500 for this tattoo as it was a piece that needed to be reworked... At the VERY least I was expecting to spend $350... He qouted me $200,,,, Mind you , this was spur of the moment to get this done and I knew it would take some work... A good artist does not sell themself short or overcharge for their work. With it already in my mind that this was not the place for me, he just sealed the deal. My husband and I left promptly and headed to another place in town that I have had work done at before. I paid around my lower price range idea and came out with a solid piece of artwork. I am gald I made the decision to leave effum. The atmosphere is just poor, its like walking into someones poorly lit garage. A hang out spot really. Im not against the relaxed vibe you step into in tattoo parlors, but this was just BAD. They seem to have some very talanted artisits working there after viewing their work online, but the other half of that is keeping some professionalism I think they would get and keep a lot more clients. Sorry effum, get your act together and Ill be happy to check you out again and give a better review!

I actually worked here for a short amount of time due to fellow employees stealing my tattooing supplies/art equipment. The owner who is a well known gang member and drug dealer started to tell shops all these lies about me simply because I confronted him about the truth, I wanted an apprenticeship had 0 knowledge of how to tattoo someone and he had me tattooing clients within a week. If you walk in and stay to get a tattoo you obviously do not know what to look for in a tattoo shop, sure their urban, lol. However pealing wood floors a unsterile work environment and a very unsanitary clean room, trust me I scrubbed everyones tubes and calved them! Oh yeah no artist really has his own ink they just have a big cabinet with every manufacture of ink (you shop should only use one brand and it should not be used by everyone in that shop) their tubes work the same way just a big drawer with half cleaned tubes and tips. This place is well known for hiring kitchen magicians and letting them tattoo whoever walks in the door. Any good shop in my area laughs at them. I wouldnt even write this truthful review about them if the owner did not run my name into the ground, funny thing is I can now tattoo circles around the guy. DO YOUR HOMEWORK GOOD TATTOOS ARE NOT CHEAP AND CHEAP TATTOOS ARE NOT GOOD.

Got my first tattoo. It was a simple two inch bird silhouette done by a woman named Jo who, herself, had no tattoos (should have been a clue). While my boyfriends bird turned out right, mine looked like a fish. I looked at it after and told her about it and she told me to come back when it healed. Well--it healed and it still looks like a fish and otherwise awful for such a simple tattoo. She did not outline the bird before she started filling it in so the lines are messy and she clearly went outside the lines. My first tattoo was a bad experience, so I doubt id get another one, but I will be getting this one fixed.

Literally the worst experience. My piercing was awful it was like they butchered me, didnt even give me their names, didnt wipe me sanitarily, SO rude, they rushed me into making a decision and completely freaked me out. I wanted a certain type of piercing and as she had the needle to my body she said, "Not everyone can get what they want based on their body type," I do not recommend this place to anyone. She had to mop up blood that dripped on the floor. Went home and had to take them out later that night. This was an AWFUL experience. Waste of time and money. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Best ever. People are complaining about customer service... what exactly are you looking for? Also, when you sit on the table for a piercing, what comfort, exactly, are you looking for from the tattoo artist? This is not the doctors office. My experience was awesome, my 3rd time having my nose pierced and this one is perfect.

JoJo is amazing! Did a walk in and she was super accommodating and gave me everything I asked for and more. Her line work is phenominal and she gave very clear instructions on after care. Her piercing was also very fast and done with the least amount of pain. Definitely someone I want to come back to for my next tattoo!

DONT GO TO FLORIDA LOCATION!!! Theres a different location 1012 S.Acadian and there were great. Supers professional & extremely nice. The Florida location is ratchet. They are super rude, non professional & have no customer service what so ever. Was there for 5 minutes and hated it. Definitely go to Misfits Ink!!!
