I drove 60 miles to do an exchange on some shoes I ordered online. I was sent the wrong size and since they wont do an exchange by mail I came to here. The most unorganized store Ive been to in forever. The shoes were just thrown on the shelf. Finally found my size but not the color I ordered. Customer service told me they couldnt give it to me for the price I paid online and Id have to pay the difference. Makes absolutely no sense to me why when I already ordered it and paid for it at that price!!! Got a refund but I wont be back nor will I be placing another order. The guy that was in front of me had ordered shoes and was also sent the wrong size so Im not taking another chance. This was a complete waste of time and gas for me since I only drove all the way here for this one thing.

I dont normally write reviews but my experience today I felt the need to. I spoke with someone in sporting goods the night before and told them to hold on to a close out sale pair of waders and they said they would. I drove two hours to pick them up but there was a mix up and they had been out back out and sold. The manager credited me with that price on an even nicer pair of waders and I just was very impressed with how they handled the situation. Very good experience with customer service, and this store always has what I need.

Bought a Stowaway battery for my boat last spring 2010. Battery would not keep a charge and needed to be replaced. Receipt was soaken wet along with boat registration insurance etc. Needless to say I wasnt able to bring in a receipt. Manager on duty, Randy looked at the dates on the battery and said it was OK to exchange for a new one free of charge. Thank u for the great service.

First tine here. Clean huge store a little disorganised. It was christmas time so it was a little crazy and very busy. Nice selection. A little costly but most things are name brand. Found some great deals and everyone loved their gift cards.

I love Academy Sports. The Academy in Alexandria has a pretty good staff to assist you with anything you may need. Newly remodeled and everything is so nice and they have just about anything you want.

Great selection of work clothes. Work boot selections are mid range. Great if youre on a budget and need some work boots fast. Friendly staff. Shoe department seemed understaffed and in disarray.
