Located right outside the AMC theater building, it is a great place to have some amazing ice creams. We tried the Mud Pie Mojo and Creme Berry Brulee and both of them were awesome. I preferred Creme Berry Brulee compared to Mud Pie Mojo but thats just comparative. What I loved about the ice cream was also that it wasnt overly sweet - no mouthful of sugar. Flavors were good. The waffle cone was good too. For cone/cup size, be sure if youre going for a large because it takes about two people to finish that. And ice-cream is a kind of thing that doesnt go well in large portions. And small means you can try more options. Service was pretty good and quite fast - though there wasnt much of a rush. No problems there. Not much space to sit and eat there but plenty outside in the public area. Definitely one of the best places to go in Newport for desserts.

I used Coldstone to cater ice cream for my wedding. Neither my husband or I like cake so we went with something different. Mike, who owns the Newport Coldstone was such a pleasure to work with! He gave me his email and cell phone number to contact him at any time. He called me the week of the wedding to review details and to make sure everything was flawless- which it was! All of our guests enjoyed the coldstone buffet and I would recommend to anyone to use Coldstone for any event that needs an amazing dessert. We were able to pick multiple flavors and 10+ toppings so our guests could create their own concoction. If I could plan my wedding all over again I would still choose Newport Coldstone. The people are friendly, they welcome you in. Sometimes they all sing while making your creations. You can try samples of ice cream to see what you like. They offer many things to mix in your ice cream. If you ask they will tell you what seems to be the most popular mix for your choice of ice cream. I like to get the (medium size) Love It as they call it. Its just enough to cool you down on a hot day. Its fun to watch and delicious to eat. Its even great in the Winter as a place to just sit and enjoy your creation in a great atmosphere. It relieves a little of the winter blues. Great Place! You can even get online coupons in your e-mail. Cant beat that. I love this place.

Really bad experience, rude staff. The guy didnt understand what I requested and then was very rude when I asked him to correct my order. Plz learn to be respectful towards customers, you are not giving free ice-creams.

Chaotic, disorganized and the staff was not very friendly. The ice cream was also not anything special. I dont understand why someone would choose to spend Graeters prices for an inferior product.

Best ice cream in town, got helped by a red headed guy with a beard. He was very respectful and took the time to make exactly what I wanted... And he was pretty cute. Love this place!!!

The staff here were okay, nothing that amazing. I ordered the birthday cake remix. I didnt like it because it had way to much brownie. There was barely any birthday cake ice cream.

Totally guilty pleasure, but totally worth it. As Im writing this review my mouth is watering since I havent had it in awhile. Highly recommend as an after dinner place.

The ice cream was delicious along with the mix-ins but the staff could of been a little more friendly especially while they ask for a tip off a credit card.
